| 2 | Long husat tu yumi i gat tok orait, long bilip tru, long go insait long dispela marimari we yumi sanap long en, na wokim amamas tru long hop bilong glori bilong God. | By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. |
| 3 | Na i no olsem tasol, tasol yumi glori long ol bikpela hevi tu, taim yumi save long bikpela hevi i wokim pasin bilong sanap strong long traim. | And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; |
| 4 | Na pasin bilong sanap strong long traim i wokim skul bilong laip. Na skul bilong laip i wokim hop. | And patience, experience; and experience, hope: |
| 5 | Na hop i no mekim man i sem. Bilong wanem, Holi Spirit, husat God i givim yumi, i kapsaitim ausait laikim tru bilong God insait long ol bel bilong yumi. | And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. |

Long wanem, sapos long pasin bilong bagarapim bel bilong wanpela planti i dai pinis, hamas moa marimari bilong God, na presen long marimari, dispela i kam long wok bilong wanpela man, Jisas Kraist, i bin pulap tru i go long planti. | But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. |
