¶ Long namba tri yia king Belsasar i bosim kingdom wanpela samting olsem driman i kam long mi, yes long mi Danyel, bihain long dispela samting i bin kam long mi pastaim. | In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
Na mi lukluk long wanpela samting olsem driman, na em i kamap olsem taim mi lukluk, mi luksave long mi stap long Susan insait long dispela bikhaus, na em i stap insait long dispela provins bilong Ilam. Na mi lukluk long wanpela samting olsem driman, na mi stap arere long dispela wara Ulai. | And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
Long dispela taim mi litimapim tupela ai bilong mi i go antap, na mi lukluk i stap, na harim, wanpela sipsip man i gat tupela kom i sanap klostu long dispela wara. Na dispela tupela kom i stap antap, tasol wanpela i antap moa long arapela, na dispela i antap moa na winim arapela em i kamap bihain. | Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
Na mi lukim dispela sipsip man i subim i go long hap san i go daun, na long hap not, na long hap saut, inap long i no gat wanpela animal i ken sanap long pes bilong em, na tu i no gat wanpela i ken kisim bek narapela long han bilong em. Tasol em i mekim ol samting bilong bihainim laik bilong em, na em i kamap bikpela. | I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
Na taim mi tingim na skelim dispela, harim, wanpela meme man i kam long hap san i go daun antap long pes bilong olgeta hap bilong dispela graun, na em i no putim lek long graun. Na dispela meme i gat wanpela kom i stap ples klia namel long tupela ai bilong em. | And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
Na em i kam long dispela sipsip man i gat tupela kom, mi bin lukim em i stap klostu long dispela wara, na dispela meme i ran i go long em long belhat tru bilong pawa bilong em. | And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
Na mi lukim em i kam klostu long dispela sipsip man, na bel bilong em i kirap long birua long em, na em i paitim dispela sipsip man, na brukim tupela kom bilong em. Na i no gat strong i stap insait long sipsip man yet long sanap long pes bilong em, nogat. Tasol meme i tromoi em i go daun long graun, na em i krungutim em, na i no gat wanpela em inap long kisim bek dispela sipsip man long han bilong em. | And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
Olsem na dispela meme man i kamap bikpela moa. Na taim em i stap strongpela dispela bikpela kom i bruk, na bilong senisim dispela, fopela arapela kom i kam antap ples klia na ol i poin i go long fopela win bilong heven. | Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
Na long wanpela bilong ol i kam wanpela liklik kom, em i kamap na kisim planti pawa moa yet, i go long hap saut, na i go long hap san kamap, na i go long dispela graun i naispela tru. | And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
Na em i kamap bikpela yes inap long dispela bikpela lain bilong heven. Na em i tromoi i go daun long graun sampela bilong dispela bikpela lain na sampela bilong ol sta, na em i krungutim ol. | And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Tru tumas, em i apim nem bilong em yet yes long hetman bilong dispela bikpela lain, na em i tekewe dispela sakrifais bilong olgeta wan wan de, na ples holi bilong em i pundaun. | Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
Na wanpela i givim bikpela lain soldia long em inap long taim bilong dispela sakrifais long olgeta wan wan de long wanem pasin bilong kalapim lo i stap. Na dispela i tromoi i go daun long graun ol samting i tru, na dispela i mekim, na kamap gutpela. | And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
Long dispela taim mi harim wanpela seint i tok, na narapela seint i tok olsem long dispela seint i bin tok, Dispela samting olsem driman i tok long dispela sakrifais long olgeta wan wan de, na dispela pasin bilong kalapim lo i bilong bagarap moa, na i wok long givim i go dispela ples i holi wantaim dispela bikpela lain long ol i stap aninit long krungutim long lek, dispela bai stap long hamas taim? | Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
Na em i tok long mi, I go inap long 2 tausen na 3 handet de, na long dispela taim ples holi bai kamap klin. | And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
¶ Na em i kamap olsem, taim mi, yes mi Danyel i lukim dispela samting olsem driman, na mi wok long painim as tingting bilong em. Long dispela taim, harim, long pes bilong mi samting i sanap i luk olsem wanpela man. | And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
Na mi harim nek bilong wanpela man namel long ol arere bilong wara Ulai, na nek i singaut na tok, Gebriel, mekim dispela man i save gut long dispela samting olsem driman. | And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
Olsem na em i kam klostu long hap mi sanap long en, na taim em i kam, mi pret na pundaun long pes bilong mi. Tasol em i tokim mi, Save gut, O pikinini man bilong man, long wanem dispela samting olsem driman bai stap long taim bilong pinis. | So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Nau long taim em i toktok wantaim mi, mi stap insait long wanpela slip i dai em i strong tru na mi stap long pes bilong mi yet long graun. Tasol em i putim han long mi, na sanapim mi stret. | Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
Na em i tok, Harim, bai mi mekim yu i save long wanem samting bai i stap long pinis tru bilong dispela bel nogut. Long wanem long taim God i bin makim bai pinis i stap. | And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
Dispela sipsip man yu bin lukim i gat tupela kom em i ol king bilong Mida na Persia. | The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
Na dispela meme i gat longpela gras em i king bilong Grisia, na dispela bikpela kom i stap namel long ol ai bilong em, em i namba wan king. | And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
Nau long dispela i bruk pinis, olsem na fopela i sanap bilong senisim em, fopela kingdom bai sanap bilong senisim dispela kantri, tasol i no long pawa bilong em. | Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
Na long las taim bilong kingdom bilong ol, taim ol lain bilong kalapim lo i kam long pulap, wanpela king bilong pes i givim pret na em i gat gutpela save long ol tok i tudak bai sanap. | And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
| And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Na long save bilong em tu bai em i mekim ol giaman pasin i kamap gutpela long han bilng em, na em bai litimapim nem long em yet long bel bilong em, na long pasin bilong givim bel isi bai em i bagarapim planti manmeri. Na tu bai em i sanap na birua long dispela Hetman bilong ol hetman, tasol em bai kisim bagarap na dispela i no kam long wanpela han. | And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Na dispela samting olsem driman bilong nait na moning em i toksave na em i tru. Olsem na pasim gut dispela samting olsem driman, long wanem em bai i stap long planti de. | And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
Na mi Danyel i hap i dai, na i stap sik sampela de. Bihain mi kirap na mekim ol wok bilong king. Na mi kirap nogut long dispela samting olsem driman, tasol i no gat wanpela i gat save long dispela samting. | And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
