¶ Darias i amamas long makim 120 hetman, long i stap bosman long dispela kingdom, ol bai i stap long bosim olgeta hap bilong kingdom. | It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
Na long bosim ol dispela hetman, tripela presiden i stap. Na Danyel em i stap nambawan long ol, inap long ol hetman i ken givim ol ripot i go long ol, na ol samting bilong king i no kisim bagarap. | And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
Long dispela taim nem bilong Danyel em i winim nem bilong ol presiden na ol hetman, long wanem i gat wanpela nambawan spirit insait long em. Na king i tingting long putim em i stap antap long olgeta hap bilong kantri. | Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
Olsem na ol presiden na ol hetman i wok long painim sampela rong bilong Danyel long pasin bilong bosim dispela kingdom. Tasol ol i no painim wanpela rong o asua, long wanem em i stap wanpela man yu inap bilip long em, na tu i no gat wanpela rong o asua insait long em. | Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
Long dispela taim ol dispela man i tok, Bai yumi no inap lukim wanpela asua bilong dispela Danyel, sapos yumi no lukim wanpela asua bilong em long lo bilong God bilong em. | Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
¶ Long dispela taim ol presiden na ol hetman i bung wantaim na i go long king, na tok olsem long em, King Darias, yu mas stap laip oltaim oltaim. | Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
Olgeta presiden bilong kingdom, na ol gavman, na ol hetman, na ol kaunsil, na ol kepten, ol i bin stretim tok wantaim bilong wokim wanpela lo bilong king em i bin raitim, na long wokim wanpela strongpela lo, long wanem man bai askim wanpela askim i go long wanpela God o wanpela man i go inap long 30 de,na i no givim askim long yu yet tasol, O king, bai ol man i tromoi dispela man i go insait long haus hul bilong ol laion. | All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
Nau, O king, yu ken kirapim dispela lo, na raitim nem bilong yu long dispela rait, inap long em i no ken senis, bilong bihainim lo bilong ol Mida na ol Persia, na em i no save senis. | Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
Olsem na king Darias i raitim nem bilong em long dispela rait na dispela lo. | Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
Nau taim Danyel em i save pinis king i raitim nem long dispela rait, em i go insait long haus bilong em, na ol windo bilong em i stap op long rum bilong em i lukluk i go long Jerusalem. Na em i brukim skru tripela taim insait long wanpela de, na em i beten, na em i givim tenkyu long pes bilong God bilong em, olsem em i save mekim pastaim. | Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
¶ Long dispela taim ol dispela man i bung, na lukim Danyel i beten na autim askim long pes bilong God bilong em. | Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
Olsem na ol i kam klostu, na spik long pes bilong king long dispela lo bilong king olsem, Ating yu no bin raitim nem bilong yu long wanpela lo, inap long olgeta wan wan man husat bai askim wanpela askim long wanpela God o wanpela man insait long 30 de, na ol i no askim long yu tasol, O king, bai ol i tromoi dispela man i go long wanpela haus hul bilong laion, a? King i bekim tok na spik, Dispela samting em i tru, bilong bihainim lo bilong ol Mida na ol Persia, na em i no save senis. | Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
Long dispela taim ol i bekim tok na spik long pes bilong king, Dispela Danyel, man i bilong ol pikinini bilong ol kalabus lain bilong Juda, em i no save tingim yu, O king, na tu em i no mekim dispela pasin long dispela lo yu bin putim nem bilong yu long en, tasol em i save mekim ol askim bilong em tripela taim long olgeta wan wan de. | Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
Olsem na king, taim em i harim ol dispela tok, em i bel hevi long em yet, na em i putim bel bilong em i stap long Danyel long kisim bek em. Na em i hatwok i go inap long taim san i go daun long kisim bek em. | Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
Olsem na ol dispela man i bung long pes bilong king na ol i tok long king, O king, yu mas save, lo bilong ol Mida na ol Persia i olsem, I no gat wanpela lo o wanpela strongpela lo, king i bin raitim dispela, em i ken senis. | Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
Long dispela taim king i mekim strongpela tok, na ol i bringim Danyel, na ol i tromoi em i go insait long dispela haus hul bilong ol laion. Nau king i spik na tokim Danyel, God bilong yu, yu save bihainim Em olgeta taim, Em yet bai kisim bek yu. | Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
Na ol i bringim wanpela ston, na slipim em long maus bilong dispela haus hul. Na king i makim dispela long ring bilong em, na ring bilong ol bikman bilong em, inap long dispela samting i no ken senis bilong kotim Danyel. | And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
¶ Long dispela taim king i go long bikhaus bilong em, na em i stap olgeta taim long dispela nait long pasin bilong tambuim kaikai. Na tu ol i no bringim samting bilong mekim musik long pes bilong em. Na slip i dai bilong em i lusim em. | Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
Orait, king i kirap long moning taim tru, na em i hariap tru long i go long dispela haus hul bilong ol laion. | Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
Na taim em i kamap long dispela haus hul, em i singaut strong wantaim wanpela nek i krai sori i go long Danyel. Na king i spik na tok long Danyel, O Danyel, wokboi bilong dispela God i gat laip, God bilong yu, yu save bihainim Em olgeta taim, Em i inap long kisim bek yu long ol laion? | And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
Long dispela taim Danyel i tok long king, O King, yu mas stap laip oltaim oltaim. | Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
God bilong mi i bin salim ensel bilong Em, na em i bin pasim ol maus bilong ol laion, bai ol i no ken givim pen long mi. Long wanem, long pes bilong Em dispela pasin i no bin mekim rong i stap insait long mi, na tu long pes bilong yu, O king, mi no bin mekim wanpela rong. | My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
Long dispela taim king i amamas tru bilong Danyel i stap orait, na em i mekim strongpela tok long ol i mas kisim Danyel i kamaut long dispela haus hul. Olsem na ol i kisim Danyel i kam antap na ausait long dispela haus hul, na ol i no lukim wanpela kain sua i stap long em, long wanem em i bin putim bilip bilong em long God bilong em. | Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
Na king i mekim strongpela tok, na ol i bringim ol dispela man husat i bin sutim tok long Danyel, na ol i tromoi ol dispela man i go insait long dispela haus hul bilong ol laion, ol dispela man wantaim ol pikinini bilong ol, na ol meri bilong ol, na ol dispela laion i winim ol, na brukim olgeta bun bilong ol long planti hap pastaim long ol i kamap long as bilong dispela haus hul. | And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
¶ Long dispela taim king Darias i rait i go long olgeta manmeri, na ol kantri, na ol tok ples, em ol husat i save stap long olgeta hap bilong dispela graun, Bel isi mas i kamap planti moa long yupela. | Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
Mi wokim wanpela lo i olsem, insait long olgeta wan wan hap bilong kingdom bilong mi ol man i mas guria na pret long pes bilong God bilong Danyel. Long wanem Em i God i gat laip, na Em i sanap strong oltaim oltaim, na kingdom bilong Em, em i dispela kingdom i no inap bagarap, na hap bilong Em long bosim bai stap yet inap long pinis. | I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
Em i save givim rot long ranawe long trabel na Em i save kisim bek man, na Em i save wokim ol mak na ol samting i winim tingting insait long heven na long dispela graun, Em i bin kisim bek Danyel long pawa bilong ol laion. | He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
Olsem na dispela Danyel i bin kamap gutpela insait long taim Darias i bosim kingdom, na insait long taim Sairas dispela man bilong Persia i bosim kingdom. | So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
