¶ Nau mi tok, Long dispela pikinini i kisim samting long papa, inap long taim em i stap pikinini, i no narakain liklik long wanpela wokboi, maski em i bikman bilong olgeta. | Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Tasol em i stap aninit long ol tisa na ol waspapa inap long taim papa i makim. | But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Yes, olsem tasol yumi, taim yumi bin stap ol pikinini, yumi bin stap kalabus aninit long ol hap samting bilong dispela graun. | Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Tasol taim taim bilong pulap i kam pinis, God i salim Pikinini Man bilong em i kam, i kamap long meri, i kamap aninit long lo, | But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Long baim bek ol husat i stap aninit long lo, inap long yumi ken kisim nem ol pikinini man long pasin bilong kisim nem pikinini. | To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Na bikos yupela i stap ol pikinini man, God i bin salim Spirit bilong Pikinini Man bilong em i go insait long ol bel bilong yupela, na krai, Aba, Papa. | And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Olsem na yu no stap wanpela wokboi moa, tasol wanpela pikinini man, na sapos wanpela pikinini man, orait wanpela pikinini i kisim samting long God long wok bilong Kraist. | Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
¶ Tasol bipo, taim yupela i no bin save long God, yupela i bin wokim wok i go long ol husat tru tru i no ol god. | Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
Tasol nau, bihain long yupela i bin save long God, o mobeta, God i save long yupela, olsem wanem yupela i tanim gen i go long ol samting i no gat strong na i rabis tru, we long en yupela i gat laik gen long stap kalabus? | But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Yupela i bihainim ol de, na ol mun, na ol taim, na ol yia. | Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Mi pret long yupela, nogut mi bin wokim hatwok long yupela nating. | I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
¶ Ol brata, mi askim yupela plis strong, stap olsem mi stap. Long wanem, mi stap olsem yupela i stap. Yupela i no bin bagarapim mi liklik. | Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.
Yupela save, long wok bilong ol sik bilong bodi, mi bin autim gutnius long yupela long pastaim olsem wanem. | Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.
Na dispela traim bilong mi i stap insait long bodi bilong mi yupela i no tingim i olsem samting nating, o givim baksait long en. Tasol yupela i kisim mi olsem wanpela ensel bilong God, yes, olsem Kraist Jisas. | And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
Dispela blesing yupela i toktok long en i stap we nau? Long wanem, mi stap witnes bilong yupela, long, sapos i bin gat rot, yupela i bin kamautim ol ai bilong yupela yet, na bin givim ol long mi. | Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
Olsem na ating mi kamap birua bilong yupela, bikos mi tokim yupela long tok tru? | Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
¶ Ol i hatwok long wokim samting long yupela, tasol i no long gutpela samting. Yes, ol i gat laik long putim yupela ausait, inap long yupela i ken wokim samting long ol. | They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
Tasol em i gutpela long man i hatwok long mekim samting olgeta taim long yupela long wanpela gutpela samting, na i no taim mi stap wantaim yupela tasol. | But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
¶ Ol liklik pikinini bilong mi, bilong husat mi hatwok wantaim pen long karim pikinini gen inap long taim Kraist i kamap strong insait long yupela. | My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
Mi gat laik long stap wantaim yupela nau, na long senisim nek bilong mi. Long wanem, mi gat tupela tingting long yupela. | I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.
¶ Tokim mi, yupela husat i gat laik long stap aninit long lo, ating i yes long yupela i harim lo? | Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
Long wanem, rait i stap pinis, long Ebraham i gat tupela pikinini man, wanpela long slevmeri, na arapela long frimeri. | For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Tasol em husat i kam long slevmeri mama i karim i bihainim pasin bilong bodi. Tasol em husat i kam long frimeri i kam long promis. | But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Ol dispela samting i wanpela piksa. Long wanem, ol dispela em dispela tupela kontrak. Wanpela i kam long maunten Sainai, dispela i kamapim kalabus, dispela em Hegar. | Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
Long wanem, dispela Hegar em maunten Sainai long Arebia, na i stap aninit long dispela Jerusalem i stap nau, na i stap kalabus wantaim ol pikinini bilong em. | For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
Tasol dispela Jerusalem i stap antap em i fri, husat em i mama bilong yumi olgeta. | But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
Long wanem, rait i stap pinis, Wokim amamas tru, yu husat i no inap long karim pikinini na husat i no karim. Brukim i kam ausait na singaut, yu husat i no hatwok long karim pikinini. Long wanem, meri i no gat pikinini olgeta i gat planti moa pikinini long em husat i gat man bilong em. | For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
Nau yumi, ol brata, olsem Aisak i bin stap, i stap ol pikinini bilong promis. | Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Tasol olsem long bipo, em husat mama i karim long pasin i bihainim bodi i givim hevi long em husat mama i karim i bihainim Spirit, yes, olsem tasol em i stap nau. | But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Tasol rait bilong God i tok wanem? Rausim slevmeri i go ausait na pikinini man bilong em. Long wanem, pikinini man bilong slevmeri bai i no inap stap pikinini i kisim samting long papa wantaim pikinini man bilong frimeri. | Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
Olsem nau, ol brata, yumi i no stap ol pikinini bilong slevmeri, tasol bilong frimeri. | So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
