| 1 | Итак, если вы воскресли со Христом, то ищите горнего, где Христос сидит одесную Бога; | If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. |
| 2 | о горнем помышляйте, а не о земном. | Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. |
| 3 | Ибо вы умерли, и жизнь ваша сокрыта со Христом в Боге. | For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. |
| 4 | Когда же явится Христос, жизнь ваша, тогда и вы явитесь с Ним во славе. | When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. |
| 5 | Итак, умертвите земные члены ваши: блуд, нечистоту, страсть, злую похоть и любостяжание, которое есть идолослужение, | Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: |
| 6 | за которые гнев Божий грядет на сынов противления, | For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: |
| 7 | в которых и вы некогда обращались, когда жили между ними. | In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. |
| 8 | А теперь вы отложите все: гнев, ярость, злобу, злоречие, сквернословие уст ваших; | But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. |
| 9 | не говорите лжи друг другу, совлекшись ветхого человека с делами его | Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; |
| 10 | и облекшись в нового, который обновляется в познании по образу Создавшего его, | And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: |
| 11 | где нет ни Еллина, ни Иудея, ни обрезания, ни необрезания, варвара, Скифа, раба, свободного, но все и во всем Христос. | Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. |
| 12 | Итак облекитесь, как избранные Божии, святые и возлюбленные, в милосердие, благость, смиренномудрие, кротость, долготерпение, | Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; |
| 13 | снисходя друг другу и прощая взаимно, если кто на кого имеет жалобу: как Христос простил вас, так и вы. | Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. |
| 14 | Более же всего облекитесь в любовь, которая есть совокупность совершенства. | And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. |
| 15 | И да владычествует в сердцах ваших мир Божий, к которому вы и призваны в одном теле, и будьте дружелюбны. | And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. |
| 16 | Слово Христово да вселяется в вас обильно, со всякою премудростью; научайте и вразумляйте друг друга псалмами, славословием и духовными песнями, во благодати воспевая в сердцах ваших Господу. | Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
| 17 | И все, что вы делаете, словом или делом, все делайте во имя Господа Иисуса Христа, благодаря через Него Бога и Отца. | And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. |
| 18 | Жены, повинуйтесь мужьям своим, как прилично в Господе. | Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. |
| 19 | Мужья, любите своих жен и не будьте к ним суровы. | Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. |
| 20 | Дети, будьте послушны родителям вашим во всем, ибо это благоугодно Господу. | Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. |
| 21 | Отцы, не раздражайте детей ваших, дабы они не унывали. | Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. |
| 22 | Рабы, во всем повинуйтесь господам вашим по плоти, не в глазах только служа им, как человекоугодники, но в простоте сердца, боясь Бога. | Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: |
| 23 | И все, что делаете, делайте от души, как для Господа, а не для человеков, | And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; |
| 24 | зная, что в воздаяние от Господа получите наследие, ибо вы служите Господу Христу. | Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. |
| 25 | А кто неправо поступит, тот получит по своей неправде, у Него нет лицеприятия. | But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. |
