1 En Psalm Assaphs, om gyldene rosena, till att föresjunga. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
2 Hör, Israels Herde, du som leder Joseph såsom får; bete dig, du som sitter på Cherubim. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
3 Uppväck dina magt, du som för Ephraim, BenJamin och Manasse äst, och kom oss till hjelp. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
4 Gud, tröst oss, och låt ditt ansigte lysa, så varde vi hulpne. O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
5 Herre Gud Zebaoth, huru länge vill du vred vara öfver dins folks bön? Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
6 Du spisar dem med tårars bröd, och skänker dem ett stort mått, fullt med tårar. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 Du lätst alla våra grannar banna oss, och våra fiendar bespotta oss. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
8 Gud Zebaoth, tröst oss; låt ditt ansigte lysa, så varde vi hulpne. Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
9 Du hafver hemtat ditt vinträ utur Egypten, och hafver fördrifvit Hedningarna, och planterat det. Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
10 Du hafver röjt vägen för thy, och låtit det väl rota sig, så att det hafver uppfyllt landet. The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
11 Bergen äro med dess skugga öfvertäckte, och med dess qvistar Guds cedreträ. She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
12 Du hafver utsträckt dess qvistar intill hafvet, och dess telningar allt intill älfvena. Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
13 Hvi hafver du så sönderbrutit dess gård, att deraf rifver allt det som der framom går? The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
14 De vildsvin hafva uppgräfvit det, och de vilddjur hafva afbitit det. Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
15 Gud Zebaoth, vänd dig dock; skåda neder af himmelen, och se härtill, och besök detta vinträt; And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
16 Och håll det vid magt, som din högra hand planterat hafver, och det du dig stadeliga utvalt hafver. It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
17 Se dertill, och straffat; att på det brännande och rifvande må en ände varda. Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
18 Din hand beskydde dins högra hands folk, och de menniskor, som du dig stadeliga utvalt hafver; So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
19 Så vilje vi intet ifrå dig vika. Låt oss lefva, så vilje vi åkalla ditt Namn. Herre Gud Zebaoth, tröst oss. Låt ditt ansigte lysa, så varde vi hulpne. Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
