1 Och HERren sade till Mose: Uthugg dig twå stentaflor, sådana som de första woro, att jag skrifwer de ord deruti, som i första taflomen woro, som du sönderslog. And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
2 Och war redo i morgon, att du bittida stiger upp på Sinai berg, och träder der upp till mig öfwerst på berget. And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
3 Och låt ingen stiga ditupp, med dig, att ingen warder sedder kringom hela berget: Och låt ingen får eller fä beta in mot detta berget. And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
4 Och Mose uthögg sig twå stentaflor, sådana som de första woro, och stod bittida upp om morgonen, och steg upp på Sinai berg, såsom HERren honom budit hade, och tog de twå stentaflor i sina hand. And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
5 Då kom HERren neder uti ett moln. Och han trädde ditfram till honom, och åkallade HERrans Namn. And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
6 Och då HERren gick framom för hans ansigte, ropade han: HERre, HERre Gud, barmhertig och nådelig, och långmodig, och af stor nåde, och trofast. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 Du som bewarar nåde till tusende leder, och förlåter mißgerningar, öfwerträdelse och synder; och för hwilkom ingen är oskyldig, du som söker fädernas mißgerningar på barn och barnabarn, allt intill tredje och fjerde led. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8 Och Mose böjde sig hasteliga neder på jordena, och bad till honom, And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
9 Och sade: Hafwer jag, HERre, funnit nåd för din ögon, så gånge HERren med oß; förty det är ett hårdnackadt folk; att du warder wårom mißgerningom och syndom nådelig, och låter oß wara ditt arfgods. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
10 Och han sade: Si, jag will göra ett förbund för allo dino folke, och will göra undertecken, hwilkas like icke skapade äro i all land, och ibland all folk: Och allt folk, der du ibland äst, skall se HERrans werk; ty förskräckeligit skall det wara, som jag göra skall med dig. And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
11 Håll det som jag bjuder dig i dag: Si, jag will utdrifwa för dig de Amoreer, Cananeer, Hetheer, Phereseer, Heveer och Jebuseer. Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
12 Tag dig wara, att du icke gör något förbund med landsens inbyggare, der du inkommer; att de icke warda dig till förargelse ibland dig; Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
13 Utan deras altare skall du omstörta, och slå sönder deras beläter, och deras lundar hugga ned; But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
14 Ty du skall icke tillbedja en annan gud; ty HERren heter en nitälskare, derföre att han är en nitälskande Gud; For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
15 På det att om du gör något förbund med landsens inbyggare; och när de i horeri löpa efter sina gudar, och offra sina gudar, att de icke bjuda dig, och du äter af deras offer; Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
16 Och tager dinom sönom deras döttrar till hustrur; hwilka i horeri löpa efter deras gudar, och komma dina söner ock till att löpa i horeri efter sina gudar. And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
17 Du skall inga gjutna gudar göra dig. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
18 Osyradt bröds högtid skall du hålla: I sju dagar skall du äta osyradt bröd, såsom jag dig budit hafwer, I Abibs månads tid; ty uti Abibs månad äst du utdragen utur Egypten. The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
19 Allt det som först öppnar moderlifwet, är mitt; det mankön är, i dinom boskap, det sitt moderlif öppnar, ware sig oxe eller får. All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
20 Men åsnans förstföding skall du lösa med ett får; om du icke löser det, så bryt thy halsen sönder. Allt förstfödt af din barn skall du lösa; och att ingen kommer fram för mig med tomma händer. But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
21 Sex dagar skall du arbeta; på sjunde dagen skall du hålla upp, både med plöjande och skärande. Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
22 Weckohögtid skall du hålla med förstlingen af hweteskördene; och insamlingshögtid, när året ute är. And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.
23 Tre resor om året skall allt dit mankön komma fram för den allsmägtiga HERran och Israels Gud. Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel.
24 När jag utdrifwer hedningarna för dig, och förwidgar dina landsändar, skall ingen åstunda efter ditt land, den stund du uppgår, tre resor om året till att hafwa dig fram för HERran din Gud. For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the Lord thy God thrice in the year.
25 Du skall icke offra bloden af mitt offer på syradt bröd; och Påskahögtidenes offer skall icke blifwa öfwer nattena intill morgonen. Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
26 Förstlingen af den första frukten af dinom åker skall du föra in uti HERrans dins Guds hus. Du skall icke koka kidet, den stund det ännu på sins moders mjölk är. The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
27 Och HERren sade till Mose: Skrif deßa orden; ty efter deßa orden hafwer jag gjort ett förbund med dig, och med Israel. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
28 Och han war der när HERranom fyratio dagar och fyratio nätter, och åt intet bröd, och drack intet watten: Och han skref på taflorna detta förbund, de tio ord. And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
29 Då nu Mose gick ned af berget Sinai, hade han de twå wittnesbördsens taflor i sine hand, och wißte icke, att huden af hans ansigte sken, deraf att han hade talat med honom. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
30 Och då Aaron och all Israels barn sågo, att hans ansigtes hud sken, fruktade de nalkas honom. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
31 Då kallade Mose dem; och till honom wände sig både Aaron, och alle de öfwerste för menighetene: Och han talade med dem. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
32 Sedan nalkades all Israels barn intill honom: Och han böd dem allt det HERren hade talat med honom på Sinai berg. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33 Och då han talade med dem, lade han ett täckelse på sitt ansigte. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
34 Och när han ingick för HERran till att tala med honom, lade han täckelset af, tilldeß han gick åter ut igen: Och när han kom ut, och talade med Israels barn det honom budet war; But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
35 Så sågo då Israels barn på hans ansigte, huru hans ansigtes hud sken: Så drog han åter täckelset öfwer ansigtet, tilldeß han gick åter in igen till att tala med honom. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
