1 Och Jacob kallade sina söner, och sade: Församler eder, at jag må förkunna eder, hwad eder skall hända i den yttersta tiden. And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2 Kommer tilhopa, och hörer til, I Jacobs barn; hörer edar fader Israel. Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Ruben min förste son, du äst min kraft, och min första magt, den öfwerste i offret, och den öfwerste i riket. Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Han utlöper med hast som watn: Du skalt icke wara den öfwerste; ty du hafwer upstigit i dins faders lägre, och der hafwer du med det upstigandet besmittat mina säng. Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5 De bröder Simeon och Levi, de hafwa handlat orättfärdiga med deras mordwapn. Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6 Min själ komme icke i deras råd, och min härlighet ware icke i deras förbund: Förty uti deras wrede hafwa de dödat mannen, och uti deras öfwerdådighet hafwa de förderfwat oxan. O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
7 Förbannad ware deras wrede, at hon så styf är, och deras grymhet, at hon så hård är: Jag skall skingra dem i Jacob, och förströ dem i Israel. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8 Juda, du äret, dig skola dine bröder lofwa, din hand skall wara dina fiender på halsen; för dig skola dins faders barn buga sig. Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9 Juda är et ungt lejon, du äst högt kommen, min son, genom stor seger: Han hafwer nederböjt sig, och lägrat sig som et lejon, och som en lejinna. Ho törs sätta sig up emot honom? Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 Spiran skall icke warda tagen ifrån Juda, ej heller en mästare ifrå hans fötter, till dess Hjelten kommer; och honom skola folken tilfalla. The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 Han warder bindandes sin fåla wid winträt, och sine åsninnos son wid den ädla winqwisten. Han skall twå sin kläder i win, och sin mantel i winbärs blod. Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12 Hans ögon äro rödaktigare än win, och hans tänder äro hwitare än mjölk. His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
13 Sebulon skall bo wid hafshamnena, och wid skepphamnena, och sträcka sig intil Sidon. Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14 Isaschar skall wara en benåsne, och lägra sig emellan gränsorna. Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
15 Och han såg rolighetena, at hon är god, och landet, at det är lustigt, och böjde sina härdar til at bära, och är worden en skattskyldig tjenare. And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16 Dan skall warda en domare ibland sitt folk, såsom et annat slägte i Israel. Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan skall warda en orm på wägenom, och en huggorm på stigenom, och bita hästen i foten, at den derpå rider, skall til rygga falla. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18 HERre, jag wäntar efter dina helso. I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord.
19 Gud, wäpnad, skall föra hären, och åter igen föran. Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
20 Af Asser kommer hans feta bröd, och han skall gifwa Konungenom kräselig mat. Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
21 Naphthali är en snar hjort, och gifwer kosteligit tal. Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22 Joseph skall tilwäx; han skall tilwäxa likawist som wid en källo: Döttrarna träda fram uti regementet. Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 Och ändock skyttarne woro honom förbittrade, trätte med honom, och hatade honom: The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 Så är dock hans boge blifwen fast, och hans händers armar äro förmannade, genom dess mägtiges händer i Jacob: Af honom äro komne herdar, stenar i Israel. But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Ifrå dins faders Gud är dig kommen hjelp, och af den Allsmägtiga äst du wälsignad med wälsignelse ofwan efter af himlenom; med wälsignelse af djupet, som under ligger; med wälsignelse på bröst och qwed. Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 Den wälsignelse, som dinom fader och minom föräldrom lofwad är, går mägteliga efter deras önskan, som höge äro i werldene. Utaf Joseph skola hufwuden warda, och de öfwerste Nazareer ibland sina bröder. The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27 BenJamin är en glupande ulf: Om morgonen skall han äta rof, men om aftonen skall han utskifta rofwet. Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28 Desse alle äro de tolf Israels slägter, och det är det, som deras fader hafwer talat med dem, då han wälsignade dem, hwar med sin besynnerliga wälsignelse. All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29 Och han böd dem, och sade til dem: Jag skall samkas til mitt folk; begrafwer mig när mina fäder, i den kulone på Ephrons Hetheens åker. And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 I den dubbelkulone, som ligger emot Mamre i Canaans lande, hwilka Abraham köpte til en arfgrift med åkrenom af Ephron den Hetheen. In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31 Der hafwa de begrafwit Abraham och Sara hans hustru: Der hafwa de ock begrafwit Isaac och Rebecka hans hustru: Der hafwer jag ock begrafwit Lea; There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32 I den åkrenom och de kulone, som af Heths barnom köpt är. The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33 Och när Jacob hade lyktat buden til sin barn, lade han sina fötter samman på sängene, led af, och wardt samkad til sitt folk. And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
