| 2 | Ja, han har böjt sitt öra till mig; i hela mitt liv skall jag åkalla honom. | Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. |
| 3 | Dödens band omvärvde mig, och dödsrikets ångest grep mig; jag kom i nöd och bedrövelse. | The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. |
| 4 | Men jag åkallade HERRENS namn: »Ack HERRE, rädda min själ.» | Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. |
