| 2 | Varför skulle hedningarna få säga: »Var är nu deras Gud?» | Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? |
| 3 | Vår Gud är ju i himmelen; han kan göra allt vad han vill. | But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. |
| 4 | Men deras avgudar äro silver och guld, verk av människohänder. | Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. |
| 5 | De hava mun och tala icke, de hava ögon och se icke, | They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: |
