| 2 | Groß ist der HERR und hoch gelobt in der Stadt unsres Gottes, auf seinem heiligen Berge. | Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. |
| 3 | Schön erhebt sich der Berg Zion, die Freude des ganzen Landes; auf der Seite gegen Mitternacht ist die Stadt des großen Königs. | God is known in her palaces for a refuge. |
| 4 | Gott ist in ihren Palästen bekannt als eine feste Burg. | For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. |
| 5 | Denn siehe, Könige haben sich verbündet und sind miteinander vorübergezogen. | They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away. |
