1	인사 하나님의 뜻을 따라 그리스도 예수의 사도가 된 나 바울은, 에베소에 사는, 그리스도 예수를 믿는 신도들에게 이 글을 씁니다.	Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2	우리 아버지 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도로부터 내리는 은혜와 평화가 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다.	Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3	그리스도 안에 있는 영적인 복 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님 아버지께 찬양을 드립니다. 하나님께서는 그리스도 안에서, 하늘에 속한 온갖 신령한 복을 우리에게 주셨습니다.	Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4	하나님께서는 우리를 사랑하셔서, 하나님 앞에서 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고, 창세 전에 우리를 그리스도 안에서 택하여 주셨습니다.	According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5	그리고 하나님의 기뻐하시는 뜻대로, 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 하나님의 자녀로 예정하셔서,	Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6	하나님의 사랑하시는 아들 안에서 우리에게 거저 주신 하나님의 영광스러운 은혜를 찬미하게 하셨습니다.	To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7	우리는 하나님이 사랑하시는 아들 안에서, 하나님의 풍성한 은혜를 따라서, 그분의 피로 구속 곧 죄의 용서를 받게 되었습니다.	In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8	하나님께서는 우리에게 모든 지혜와 총명을 넘치게 주셔서,	Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9	그리스도 안에서 미리 세우신 하나님이 기뻐하시는 뜻을 따라, 하나님의 신비한 뜻을 우리에게 알려 주셨습니다.	Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10	하나님의 경륜은, 때가 차면 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 것을 그리스도 안에서 그분을 머리로 하여 통일시키는 것입니다.	That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11	모든 것을 자기가 뜻하시는 대로 행하시는 하나님께서, 자기의 계획을 따라 예정하셔서, 그리스도 안에서 우리를 상속자로 삼으셨습니다.	In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12	그것은 그리스도께 맨 먼저 소망을 둔 우리로 하여금, 하나님의 영광을 찬미하게 하시려는 것입니다.	That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13	여러분도 그리스도 안에서 진리의 말씀, 곧 여러분을 구원하는 복음을 듣고 그리스도를 믿었으므로, 약속하신 성령의 인치심을 받았습니다.	In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14	이 성령은 우리의 상속의 담보이어서, 우리로 하여금 구속을 받아, 하나님의 영광을 찬미하게 합니다.	Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15	바울의 기도 그러므로 나도, 여러분이 주 예수를 믿는다는 것과, 여러분이 모든 성도를 사랑한다는 것을 듣고서,	Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16	여러분을 기억하면서 기도를 올리며, 여러분을 두고 끊임없이 감사를 드립니다.	Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17	우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님, 영광의 아버지께서 지혜와 계시의 영을 여러분에게 주셔서, 아버지를 알게 하시고,	That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18	여러분의 마음의 눈을 밝혀 주시기를 빕니다. 그리하여 하나님께서 여러분을 부르셔서 여러분에게 주신 그 소망이 무엇인지, 하나님께서 성도들에게 주신 상속의 영광이 얼마나 풍성한지,	The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19	하나님께서 우리 믿는 사람에게 강한 힘으로 활동하시는 그 능력이 얼마나 큰지를, 여러분이 알게 되기를 바랍니다.	And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20	하나님께서는 이 능력을 그리스도 안에 역사하셔서, 그분을 죽은 사람 가운데서 살리시고, 하늘에서 자기의 오른쪽에 앉히셔서,	Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21	모든 정권과 권세와 능력과 주권 위에, 그리고 이 세상뿐만 아니라 오는 세상에서 불릴 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게 하셨습니다.	Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22	하나님께서는 만물을 그리스도의 발 아래에 굴복시키시고, 그분을 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨습니다.	And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23	교회는 그리스도의 몸이요, 만물 안에서 만물을 충만케 하시는 분의 충만함입니다.	Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
