1	장로들의 전통(막 7:1-23) 그 때에 예루살렘에서 바리새파 사람들과 율법학자들이 예수께 와서 말하였다.	Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2	"당신의 제자들은 어찌하여 장로들이 전하여 준 관습을 어깁니까? 그들은 빵을 먹을 때에, 손을 씻지 않습니다."	Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3	예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "그러면 너희는 어찌하여 너희의 관습 때문에 하나님의 계명을 어기느냐?	But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4	하나님께서 말씀하시기를 '아버지와 어머니를 공경하여라' 하시고, 또 '아버지나 어머니를 욕하는 자는 반드시 죽을 것이다' 하셨다.	For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5	그러나 너희는 말한다. 누구든지 아버지나 어머니에게 '내게서 받으실 것이 하나님께 드리는 예물이 되었습니다' 하고 말만 하면	But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6	제 부모를 공경하지 않아도 괜찮다고 가르친다. 이렇게 너희는 관습을 빌미로 하여 하나님의 말씀을 헛되게 한다.	And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7	위선자들아! 이사야가 너희를 두고 적절히 예언하였다. 그가 말하였다.	Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8	'이 백성은 입술로는 나를 공경해도, 마음은 나에게서 멀리 떠나 있다.	This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9	그들은 사람의 훈계를 교리로 가르치며, 나를 헛되이 예배한다.'"	But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10	예수께서 무리를 가까이 부르시고서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 듣고 깨달아라.	And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11	입으로 들어가는 것이 사람을 더럽히는 것이 아니라, 입에서 나오는 것, 그것이 사람을 더럽힌다."	Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12	그 때에 제자들이 다가와서 예수께 말하기를 "바리새파 사람들이 이 말씀을 듣고 분개하고 있다는 것을 아십니까?" 하였다.	Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13	예수께서 대답하여 말씀하셨다. "나의 하늘 아버지께서는 심지 않으신 식물은 모두 뽑아 버리실 것이다.	But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14	그들을 내버려 두어라. 그들은 눈먼 사람이면서 눈먼 사람을 인도하는 길잡이들이다. 눈먼 사람이 눈먼 사람을 인도하면, 둘 다 구덩이에 빠질 것이다."	Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15	베드로가 예수께 "그 비유를 우리에게 설명해 주십시오" 하고 청하였다.	Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16	예수께서 말씀하셨다. "너희도 아직 깨닫지 못하느냐?	And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17	입으로 들어가는 것은 무엇이든지, 뱃속으로 들어가서 뒤로 나가는 줄 모르느냐?	Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18	그러나 입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오는데, 그것들이 사람을 더럽힌다.	But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19	마음에서 악한 생각들이 나오는데, 곧 살인과 간음과 음행과 도둑질과 거짓 증언과 비방이다.	For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20	이런 것들이 사람을 더럽힌다. 그러나 손을 씻지 않고서 먹는 것은, 사람을 더럽히지 않는다."	These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
21	가나안 여자의 믿음(막 7:24-30) 예수께서 거기에서 떠나서, 두로와 시돈 지방으로 가셨다.	Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22	마침, 가나안 여자 한 사람이 그 지방에서 나와서 외쳐 말하였다. "다윗의 자손이신 주님, 나를 불쌍히 여겨 주십시오. 내 딸이, 귀신이 들려 괴로워하고 있습니다."	And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23	그러나 예수께서는 한 마디도 대답하지 않으셨다. 그 때에 제자들이 다가와서 "저 여자가 우리 뒤에서 외치고 있으니, 그를 돌려보내 주십시오" 하고 청하였다.	But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24	그러나 예수께서 대답하여 말씀하시기를 "나는 오직 이스라엘 집의 길을 잃은 양들에게 보내심을 받았을 따름이다" 하셨다.	But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25	그러나 그 여자는 와서, 예수께 무릎을 꿇고 "주님, 나를 도와주십시오" 하고 간청하였다.	Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26	예수께서 대답하시기를 "아이들이 먹을 빵을 집어서, 개들에게 던져 주는 것은 옳지 않다" 하시니,	But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27	그 여자가 말하였다. "주님, 그렇습니다. 그러나 개들도 주인의 상에서 떨어지는 부스러기는 얻어먹습니다."	And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28	그제서야 예수께서 그 여자에게 말씀하셨다. "여자야, 참으로 네 믿음이 크다. 네 소원대로 될 것이다." 바로 그 때에 그 여자의 딸이 나았다.	Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
29	많은 병자를 고치시다 예수께서 거기에서 떠나서, 갈릴리 바닷가에 가셨다. 그리고 산에 올라가서, 거기에 앉으셨다.	And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30	많은 무리가, 일어서지 못하는 이와 맹인과 지체 장애자와 말 못하는 이와 그 밖에 아픈 사람들을 많이 데리고 예수께로 와서, 그 발 앞에 놓았다. 예수께서는 그들을 고쳐 주셨다.	And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31	그래서 무리는, 말 못하는 이가 말을 하고, 지체 장애자가 성한 몸이 되고, 일어서지 못하는 이가 걸어다니고, 맹인이 보는 것을 보면서 놀랐고, 이스라엘의 하나님께 영광을 돌렸다.	Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32	사천 명을 먹이시다(막 8:1-10) 그 때에 예수께서 제자들을 가까이 불러 놓고 말씀하셨다. "저 무리가 나와 함께 있은 지가 벌써 사흘이나 되었는데, 먹을 것이 없으니, 가엾다. 그들을 굶은 채로 돌려보내고 싶지 않다. 가다가 길에서 쓰러질지도 모른다."	Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33	제자들이 예수께 말하였다. "여기는 빈 들인데, 이 많은 무리를 배불리 먹일 만한 빵을 무슨 수로 구하겠습니까?"	And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34	예수께서 그들에게 물으시기를 "너희에게 빵이 몇 개나 있느냐?" 하시니, 그들은 대답하기를 "일곱 개가 있습니다. 그리고 작은 물고기가 몇 마리 있습니다" 하였다.	And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35	예수께서 무리에게 명하여 땅에 앉게 하시고서,	And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36	빵 일곱 개와 물고기를 손에 드시고, 감사를 드리신 뒤에, 떼어서 제자들에게 주시니, 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주었다.	And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37	사람들이 모두 배불리 먹었다. 그런 다음에 남은 부스러기를 주워 모으니, 일곱 광주리에 가득 찼다.	And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
38	먹은 사람은 여자들과 아이들 밖에도, 남자만 사천 명이었다.	And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
39	예수께서 무리를 헤쳐 보내신 뒤에, 배에 올라 마가단 지역으로 가셨다.	And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
