1	의롭게 하여 주심을 받은 사람의 삶 그러므로 우리는 믿음으로 의롭게 하여 주심을 받았으니, 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 더불어 평화를 누립니다.	Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2	우리는 또한, 그리스도로 말미암아 지금 서 있는 이 은혜의 자리에 믿음으로 나아왔고, 하나님의 영광의 자리에 참여할 소망을 품고 자랑을 합니다.	By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3	그뿐만 아니라, 우리는 환난 가운데서도 자랑을 합니다. 우리가, 환난은 인내를 낳고,	And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4	인내는 품격을 낳고, 품격은 희망을 낳는 줄을 알고 있기 때문입니다.	And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5	이 희망은 우리를 실망시키지 않습니다. 그것은, 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 성령으로 하나님의 사랑을 우리 마음 속에 부어 주셨기 때문입니다.	And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6	우리가 아직 약할 때에, 그리스도께서 때를 맞추어서, 경건하지 못한 사람을 위하여 이미 죽으셨습니다.	For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7	의로운 사람을 위해서라도 죽을 사람은 거의 없습니다. 선한 사람을 위해서라도 감히 죽을 사람은 드뭅니다.	For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8	그러나 우리가 아직 죄인으로 있을 때에, 그리스도께서는 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로써, 하나님께서 우리에게 주시는 사랑을 나타내셨습니다.	But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9	그러므로 지금 우리가 그리스도의 피로 의롭게 되었으니, 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님의 진노에서 구원을 받으리라는 것은 더욱 확실합니다.	Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10	우리가 하나님의 원수로 있을 때에도 그분의 아들의 죽으심으로 하나님과 화해하게 되었다면, 하나님과 화해가 이루어진 지금에 와서 하나님의 생명으로 구원을 받으리라는 것은 더욱 확실한 일이 아니겠습니까?	For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11	그뿐만 아니라, 우리는 또한 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님을 자랑합니다. 지금 그로 말미암아 하나님과 우리 사이에 화해가 이루어졌습니다.	And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12	아담과 그리스도 그러므로 한 사람을 통하여 죄가 세상에 들어오고, 또 그 죄를 통하여 죽음이 들어온 것과 같이, 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로, 죽음이 모든 사람에게 이르게 되었습니다.	Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13	율법이 있기 전에도 죄가 세상에 있었으나, 율법이 없을 때에는, 죄를 죄로 여기지 않았습니다.	(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14	그러나 아담 시대로부터 모세 시대에 이르기까지는 죽음이 지배하였습니다. 아담의 범죄와 같은 죄를 짓지 않은 사람들까지도 죽음의 지배를 벗어나지 못했습니다. 아담은 장차 오실 분의 모형이었습니다.	Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15	그러나 하나님께서 은혜를 베푸실 때에 생긴 일은, 한 사람이 죄를 지었을 때에 생긴 일과 같지 않습니다. 한 사람의 범죄로 많은 사람이 죽었으나, 하나님의 은혜와 예수 그리스도 한 사람의 은혜로 말미암은 선물은, 많은 사람에게 더욱더 넘쳤습니다.	But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16	또한, 하나님께서 주시는 선물은 한 사람의 범죄의 결과와 같지 않습니다. 한 범죄에서는 심판이 뒤따라와서 유죄 판결이 내려졌습니다마는, 많은 범죄에서는 은혜가 뒤따라와서 무죄 선언이 내려졌습니다.	And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17	아담 한 사람이 범죄함으로 그 한 사람으로 말미암아 죽음이 지배하게 되었다면, 넘치는 은혜와 의의 선물을 받은 사람들은, 예수 그리스도 한 분으로 말미암아, 생명으로 지배할 것이 아닙니까?	For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18	그러니 한 사람의 범죄 행위 때문에 모든 사람이 유죄 판결을 받았는데, 이제는 한 사람의 의로운 행위 때문에 모든 사람이 의롭게 하여 주심을 받아서, 생명을 얻었습니다.	Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19	한 사람이 순종하지 않음으로 말미암아 많은 사람이 죄인으로 판정을 받았는데, 이제는 한 사람이 순종함으로 말미암아 많은 사람이 의인으로 판정을 받을 것입니다.	For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20	율법은 범죄를 증가시키려고 들어왔습니다. 그러나 죄가 많은 곳에, 은혜가 더욱 넘치게 되었습니다.	Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21	이는, 죄가 죽음으로 사람을 지배한 것과 같이, 은혜가 의로 사람을 지배하면서, 우리 주 예수 그리스도 안에서 영원한 생명을 누리게 하려는 것입니다.	That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
