절	새번역 (2001)	King James Version
1	슬기로운 삶 돈이 있으면, 무역에 투자하여라. 여러 날 뒤에 너는 이윤을 남길 것이다.	Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
2	이 세상에서 네가 무슨 재난을 만날지 모르니, 투자할 때에는 일곱이나 여덟로 나누어 하여라.	Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
3	구름에 물이 가득 차면, 비가 되어서 땅 위로 쏟아지는 법. 나무가 남쪽으로나 북쪽으로 쓰러지면, 어느 쪽으로 쓰러지든지, 쓰러진 그 곳에 그대로 있는 법.	If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
4	바람이 그치기를 기다리다가는, 씨를 뿌리지 못한다. 구름이 걷히기를 기다리다가는, 거두어들이지 못한다.	He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
5	바람이 다니는 길을 네가 모르듯이 임신한 여인의 태에서 아이의 생명이 어떻게 시작되는지 네가 알 수 없듯이, 만물의 창조자 하나님이 하시는 일을 너는 알지 못한다.	As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
6	아침에 씨를 뿌리고, 저녁에도 부지런히 일하여라. 어떤 것이 잘 될지, 이것이 잘 될지 저것이 잘 될지, 아니면 둘 다 잘 될지를, 알 수 없기 때문이다.	In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
7	젊은이에게 주는 충고 빛을 보고 산다는 것은 즐거운 일이다. 해를 보고 산다는 것은 기쁜 일이다.	Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:
8	오래 사는 사람은 그 모든 날을 즐겁게 살 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 어두운 날들이 많을 것이라는 것도 기억해야 한다. 다가올 모든 것은 다 헛되다.	But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.
9	젊은이여, 젊을 때에, 젊은 날을 즐겨라. 네 마음과 눈이 원하는 길을 따라라. 다만, 네가 하는 이 모든 일에 하나님의 심판이 있다는 것만은 알아라.	Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
10	네 마음의 걱정과 육체의 고통을 없애라. 혈기왕성한 청춘은 덧없이 지나가기 때문이다.	Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
