| 1 | L’Eterno regna; egli s’è rivestito di maestà; l’Eterno s’è rivestito, s’è cinto di forza; il mondo quindi è stabile, e non sarà smosso. | The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. |
| 2 | Il tuo trono è saldo ab antico, tu sei ab eterno. | Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. |
| 3 | I fiumi hanno elevato, o Eterno, i fiumi hanno elevato la loro voce; i fiumi elevano il lor fragore. | The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. |
| 4 | Più delle voci delle grandi, delle potenti acque, più dei flutti del mare, l’Eterno è potente ne’ luoghi alti. | The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. |
