| 2 | Si rallegri Israele in colui che lo ha fatto, esultino i figliuoli di Sion nel loro re. | Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. |
| 3 | Lodino il suo nome con danze, gli salmeggino col timpano e la cetra, | Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. |
| 4 | perché l’Eterno prende piacere nel suo popolo, egli adorna di salvezza gli umili. | For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. |
| 5 | Esultino i fedeli adorni di gloria, cantino di gioia sui loro letti. | Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. |
| 6 | Abbiano in bocca le alte lodi di Dio, una spada a due tagli in mano | Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; |
| 7 | per far vendetta delle nazioni e infligger castighi ai popoli; | To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; |
| 8 | per legare i loro re con catene e i loro nobili con ceppi di ferro, | To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; |
| 9 | per eseguir su loro il giudizio scritto. Questo è l’onore che hanno tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia. | To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord. |
