| 2 | he ovat minua kovin ahdistaneet nuoruudestani asti, mutta eivät he ole päässeet minusta voitolle. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Kyntäjät ovat minun selkääni kyntäneet ja vetäneet pitkät vaot. | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | Mutta Herra on vanhurskas, hän on katkonut jumalattomain köydet. | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
