IET ngai Iakopus ladu en Kot o Kaun Iesus Kristus ong kainok eisok riau, me pakasar pasanger; komail perenda! James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
Ri ai ko, komail perenki ma komail lel ong kasongesong. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
O asa, ma omail poson me pung, a pan kareda kanongama. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
A kanongama pan duedueta lao lel imwi, pwe komail en anla o unsok, o solar anane meakot. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
A ma amen re omail sota a lolekong, i en poeki ren Kot, me kin kotiki ong amen amen ni so kidaue, ari, a pan ale. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
A i en poeki ni poson, der peikasal, pwe me kin peikasal, me rasong iluk en madau, me ang kin ipir wei pukepuk. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Pwe i aramas ender lamelame, me a pan tungole meakot sang ren Kaun o. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A ol amen me peikasal, kin koweikodo ni a dodok karos. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
A ri atail amen, me samama, en suaiki a kapwapwa. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
A me kapwapwa en suaiki a samama, pwe duen masal en rä a pan mongedi. But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
Pwe katipin dakada, ap karakar, ap kamongedi rä kan o masal en rä pupedier, o mom a kaselel olar, iduen me kapwapwa o pan sora sang ni a wiawia kan. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Meid pai ol o, me wonweita ni songapa, pwe murin a poedi, a pan ale nin in maur, me Kot kotin inauki ong me pok ong i. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Ma amen pan songesong, a depa inda, me a songesong ren Kot. Pwe Kot sota kak mi pan songesong en mesued, o a pil sota kin kasongesong amen. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
A amen amen kin songesong ni a inong sued. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
A inong sued lao wiauier, ap naitikadar dip; a dip, ni a unsokelar, kin naitikada mela. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Ri ai kompok kan, komail der ponepon kida. Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Kisakis mau karos o a sapan kodido sang poa, sang ren Sam en marain akan, me sota man song toror o sota man wukila. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
A kotin kanaitik kida kitail masan melel, pwe kitail en wiala meseni en sapwilim a kan. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Ri ai kompok kan, komail asa, aramas karos en madang rong, a pwand en lokaia, o pwand en makar. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Pwe makar en ol o sota kin kapwareda pung en Kot. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
I me komail en kasela pwel karos o me sued karos, ap ale ong komail masan o, me padedier lol omail nin tiak en karakarak, i me kak ong kamaureda ngen omail. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
A komail en kapwaiada masan o kaidin rong eta, a ma iduen, komail kin kotaue pein komail. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Pwe ma meamen kin rong masan o, ap sota kapwaiada, nan a ras ong ol amen, me kin kilekilang mas en pali war a nan klas, For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Pwe murin a kilekilanger duen pein i, a koie la o pitipit monokela duen a sansal. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
A me kin kilekilang melel nan kapung unsok o kasaledok, o kapwaiada, o ma a sota pan monokela, me a ronger, a kapwaiada, nan i pan pai kida a wiawia kan. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Ma amen lamelame, me a kin papa Kot, ap sota kaineneda lo a, o ma a piti pein mongiong i, nan a dodok ong Kot me mal kot. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
A dodok min o pung mon Kot o Sam me wet: En apapwali sapoupou o li odi kan ni ar apwal akan, o pera ki pein i sang sappa. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
