A MURIN ran limau samero lapalap Ananias kotido iangaki saumas akai, o saunlokaia men, me ad a Tertulus; irail weiweiloke Paulus ren kopina. | And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
A lao wisikedo, Tertulus ap pikikidi weiweiloke i indada: | And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
Kit asaer duen muein popol re omui o duen kamau toto kan ong toun wei wet, pweki omui kalangan maing Peliks. O i me se kapikapinga kin komui ansau o wasa karos. | We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
A i sota men kapangai komui, iet eta me i poeki re omui: Komui en kotin mangi kit duen omui kalangan. | Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
Pwe se diaradar, me ol men et me morsued o me kin kapeida Sus akan karos, me mi sappa, o i me saumas en pwin likam en Nasaret, | For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
Me pil song kasaminela im en kaudok o, i me se koledi i, pwen kadeikada, duen at kapung o. | Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
A monsap Lisias kotin pwarado, kotiki sang i nan pa at ki a manaman lapalap, | But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
Masani ong me weiweiloke i, en poto dong re omui, a komui lao kalekalelapok re irail, kom pan pein mangi duen meakan, me se pang kila i. | Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
A Sus oko pil weiweiloke Paulus indada: Mepukat melel! | And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
A kopina lao olol ong Paulus, en kaparok, a ap kotin sapeng masani: Ni ai asaer, me komui saunkapung pan toun wei wet saunpar toto, i peren kida, ai pan indinda duen pein ngai. | Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
Pwe komui pan mangi, me pong ngaul ria pong eta, me i kodalang Ierusalem pwen kaudok. | Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
A irail sota diar ia da lokaia ong amen nan im en kaudok, de kapeida aramas oko nan sinakoke kan de nan kanim o. | And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
O re pil sota kak kadede, me re pang kin ia la met. | Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
A iet eta, me i men kadede ong komui, ni ai kin kamelele karos, me intingidier nan saukop akan o kapung o, i kin kaudoki ong Kot en sam ai kan duen tiak en ir, me re kaadaneki pwin likam. | But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
O i kaporoporeki Kot me irail pil kamelele me melar akan pan maureda, me pung o me sapung kan. | And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
A i me i kin sosongki pein ngai, pwe lol i en pung mon Kot o aramas akan. | And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
A murin par toto i kodon wa dong toun sap wet kisakis eu o wiadar mairong. | Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
I ansau, me re diar ia makelekeladar nan im en kaudok o sota weriwer de moromorong. | Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
A ir pukat Sus akai nan Asien menda re sota mi met mo ’mui, kadede ngai, ma re diar me sued kot re i? | Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
De mepukat en pein kasansaleda sapung da, me re diar re i ni ai mi mon kapung o. | Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
A iet eta lepen lokaia, me i kida ni ai udar nan pung ar indada: En me melar akan ar pan maureda, i pan pakadeikki ran wet re omail. | Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
A Peliks lao ereki mepukat, pwe a mangi mau duen al pot et, ap kasau ir wei masani: Kaun Lisias lao kotido, i ap pan kaimwisokela omail kapung. | And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
I ap masani ong kaun en kolekol Paulus o kasaladokela i, o ender inapwiedi iang a kan, en kodon papa i. | And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
A murin ran akai Peliks pwarado, a paud Drusila iang i, iei li en Sus amen, ap molipedo Paulus o karonge i duen lamalam en Kristus. | And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
A ni a kapakaparok duen pung, o makelekel, o kadeik, me pan wiaui, Peliks ap masapwekadar o sapeng: U kowei ansau wet, i lao pisokalar, i pan eker uk do. | And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
A pil kaporoporeki, me Paulus pan kotiki ong i moni, pwen lapwada i; i me a purepure ekeker kido i o kasokasoi ong i. | He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
A murin par riau Porsius Pestus sapwiladar wiliandi Peliks. A Pelisk men konekon ren Sus oko, ap sota lapwada Paulus. | But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
