I ANSAU o Iesus kotila nan mat en korn ni ran en sapat, a sapwelim a tounpadak kan men mangadar, rap dolunga sang wan korn o kangkang. At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
Parisär lau kilanger mepwukat, rap patoan ong i: Masani, sapwilim omui tounpadak kan kin wiada, me sota pung, en wiaui ni ran en sapat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
A kotin masani ong irail: Komail sota doropwe, me Dawid wiadar ni a o iang akan men mangadar? But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
Duen a pedelong ong nan im en Kot o kangkang prot en kasansal, me sota pung, i o iang akan en kang, pwe samero akan eta. How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
De komail sota wadoker nan kapung o, duen samero akan ar kin kaupali ran en sapat nan im en kaudok ni ran en sapat, ap sota dip arail? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
A I indai ong komail, i, me laude sang im en kaudok, mi wasa kis et. But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
A ma komail pan asa wewen kasoi pot et: I kin polauleki kadek a kaidin mairong isis, komail sota pan kadeikada me makelekel akan. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
Pwe nain aramas pil udan Kaun en sapat. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
A kotila sang wasa o, ap kotilong ong nan ar sinakoke. And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
A kilang, aramas amen mia, me pa a motorlar. Irail idok re a indada: Me pung, en kakelailada ni ran en sapat? Pwe ren kadipa i. And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
I ari kotin masani ong irail: Is aramas nan pung omail, me na sip amen mia, ma a pupedi ong nan por ni ran en sapat, a so pan poridi ong, kida sang? And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
A iaduen aramas amen sota kasampwal kaualap sang sip amen? I me aramas amen kak wia kida me mau ni ran en sapat. How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
I ap kotin masani ong aramas o: Kapa wei pa om! I ari kapa wei, ap maular dueta pali teio. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
Parisär ap pedoi sang o kapukapung pena, duen ar pan kamatala i. Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
Iesus lao mangi met, ap kotila sang wasa o, a pokon kalaimun idauenla i; i ari kakelailadar irail karos. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
O masani ong irail, ren der kalok sili i. And charged them that they should not make him known:
Pwen pwaida, me lokido ren saukop Iesaia, me masani: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
Kilang, i ai ladu, me I piladar, o kompokepa i, me I kin polaule kida. I pan aude kin i Ngen i, o a pan kasale ong men liki kan duen kadeik o. Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Nan a sota pan akamai de weriwer, o sota amen me pan rong ngil a pon al akan, He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
A sota pan katip pasang alek luet o, o a sota pan kakundi wik inkingkong o, lao a pan kaimwisokala kadeik o. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
O men liki kan pan kaporoporeki mar a. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
Me tewil ti poa men, me maskun o lotong ap wisike dong i; i ari kakelailada i, a me maskun o lotong ap lokaia o kilang wasa. Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
Aramas karos ap malamalauak kila indada: Kaidin i sapwilim en Dawid? And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
A Parisär akan lao rongadar, rap indada: Nan sota, me lap en kauseki wei tewil akan, Peelse pup eta, saumas en tewil akan. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
I ari angi ar lamelam masani ong irail: Wei karos, ma tou a kan pan u pena nan pung ar, a pan ola, o ma toun kanim de toun im eu pan u pena nan pung ar, a sota pan pwaida. And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
O ma Satan pan kause wei Satan, a pan u ong pein i, a iaduen a wei pan kak pwaida? And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
Ma I kin kauseki wei Peelsepup tewil akan, a is me noumail seri kang kin kause kin irail? Irail ari pan omail saunkapung. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
A ma I kausaki wei Ngen en Kot tewil akan, nan wein Kot lel ong komail er. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
De iaduen, is me pan kak kolong ong nan im en me kelail amen, kulia sang a kapwa, ma a so saliedi mas me kelail o? A ap pan kak kulia sang a kapwa. Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Meamen me sota iang ia, iei me palian ia; o me sota kin dolung penang ia, iei me kin kasapoka pasang. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
I me Ngai indai ong komail, dip karos o lalaue pan kak lapwa sang aramas, a lalaue ong Ngen sota pan lapwa sang aramas. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
O me pan lalaue Nain aramas, a pan lapwa sang i; a me pan lalaue Ngen saraui, a sota pan lapwa sang i, sota nan muei met pil sota nan muei kokodo. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Padukedi tuka mau pot, a wa pan mau; de padukedi tuka sued apot, a wa pan sued. Pwe tuka kin diarok kida wa. Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Wan serpent komail, iaduen komail kak lokaia mau, pwe komail me sued? Pwe aua kin lokaia sang nan audepan mongiong o. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Aramas mau kin kida me mau sang nan pai mau en mongiong i, a aramas sued kin kida me sued sang nan pai sued en mongiong i. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
A I indai ong komail, lokaia mal karos, me aramas inda, pan puk ong ir ni ran en kadeik o. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Pwe sang ni om kasokasoi koe pan kapung kila, o sang ni om kasokasoi koe pan pakadeikada. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Saunkawewe o Parisär kai ap sapeng i indada: Saunpadak, se men kilang kilel eu sang re omui Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
A i me kotin sapeng masani ong irail: Di sued o kamal o kin rapaki kilel eu, a sota kilel eu, me pan sansal ong irail, pwe kilel en saukop Iona eta. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
Pwe duen Iona a mimi nan kaped en mam kalaimun amen ran silu o pong sili pong, iduen Nain aramas pan mimi nan mongiong en sappa ran silu o pong sili pong. For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Ol en Niniwe kan pan u ong di wet ni kadeik lapalap o pan kadeikada, pwe re kalula ni ar rongadar padak en Iona, a kilang, me laude sang Iona mi met. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
Li nanmarki en pali air amen pan u ong di wet ni kadeik lapalap o pan kadeikada; pwe a pwurado sang ni imwin sappa, pwen rong lolekong en Salomo. A kilang me laude sang Salomo mi met. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Ngen saut lao kowei sang ren aramas o, a kin tangatang sili nan sap tan akan, rapaki wasan kamol, a sota, me a diarada. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
I ap kin inda: I pan purelong nan im ai, me i pedoi sanger. A lao puredo, a diar me a tan, kokok, o kapwater. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
I ari mi koieila, ale ong i ngen isimen, me sued sang pein i; irail lao pedelong ong lole, rap kaukauson ia, a aramas pan sued sang mas. Iduen a pan wiaui ong di sued wet. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
A ni a kotin masani ong pokon o mepukat, kilang, in a o ri a ol akan u liki, re men lokaia ong i. While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
Amen ap potoan ong i: Re kotin mangi, in ar o ri ar ol akan mimi liki o men lokaia ong ir. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
A a kotin sapeng masani ong, me kaireki ong i: Is in ai o is ri ai ol akan? But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
Ap kotin kapawei lim a pon sapwilim a tounpadak kan masani: Kilang, in ai o ri ai ol pukat! And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Pwe meamen, me kin wia kupur en Sam ai, me kotikot nanlang, nan i me ri ai ol, o ri ai li, o in ai. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
