KADEKADEO Iesus lao kaimwisokela a masan ong sapwilim a tounpadak ekriamen, ap kotila sang wasa o, pwen kaukawewe o padapadak nan ar kanim akan. And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
A Ioaneis lao ronger nan imateng wiawian Kristus, ap poronela a tounpadak kai. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
Kalelapok re a: Ir me pan kotido, de sen auiaui amen? And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Iesus kotin sapeng masani ong irail: Komail kowei kaireki Ioanes, me komail rong o kilang: Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
Me maskun akan kin kilang wasa, o me dangidang kan kin alu, o me tuketuk kan kin makeladar, o me salongepon kan kin rong wasa, o me melar akan kin maureda, o rongamau kin loloki ong me samama kan. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
O meid pai, me sota pan makar kin ia. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
Mepukat lao kokola, Iesus ap kotin tapiadar mamasani ong pokon o duen Ioanes: Da me komail koieila en kilang nan sap tan? Alek pot, me kin dueduälokki ang? And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
De da me komail koieila en kilang? Aramas amen nan likau muterok? Kilang, me kin likau kida likau muterok, kin mi nan im en nanmarki kan. But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.
De da me komail koieila en kilang? Saukop amen? Ei I indai ong komail a laude sang saukop amen. But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
Pwe iei i, me intingidier: Kilang I kadarala mo ’mui ai men kadar, me pan koko al mo ’mui. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
Melel I indai ong komail, sota me ipwidi sang ren li akan, me laude sang Ioanes saunpaptais. Ari so, me tikitik nan wein nanlang, iei me laude sang i. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
A sang ni muein Ioanes saunpaptais kokodo lel met wein nanlang kokido eta manaman, ari me manaman akan kin koledi ong irail. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Pwe saukop karos o kapung kokopadar lao lel Ioanes. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
O ma komail men duki ong, nan iei Elias, me pan kodo. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
Me salong a mia, men rong, i en rong! He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
A da me I en karasai ong di wet? A ras ong seri kan, me kin momod nan wasan net akan o likelikwir ong kis arail, But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
Indada: Kit kasang ong komail, a komail, sota kakalek; kit kauleki ong komail kaul en mamauk, a komail sota sangesang. And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
Pwe Ioanes pwarado, ap sota kang o nim, a re kin inda: Nan tewil kin ti poa. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
Nain aramas pwarado, mangamanga o nim, a re kin inda: Kilang, me kaped en manga o kamom sakau, kompoke pan saunopwei o me dipan akan, a lolekong o kin diarok kida na seri ko. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
A kotin tapiada kidaueda kanim akan, me a wiai onger manaman to to, aki re sota kalula: Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
Suedi ong uk Korasin! Suedi ong uk Petsaida! Pwe ma manaman akan, me wiaui ong uk er, wiauier ong Tirus o Sidon, nan melel re pan pitipit kalula nan tuk en likau o nan pas. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
A I indai ong komail, a pan mongai ong Tirus o Sidon ni ran en kadeik sang komail. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
A koe Kapernaum, me paidar lel nanlang, pan pisikindi nan pweleko; pwe ma manaman akan, me wiaui ong uk er, wiauier ong Sodom, nan a pan mimieta lao lel ran wet. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
A I indai ong komail, a pan mongai ong sap en Sodom ni ran mi kadeik sang koe. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Ni ansau ota Iesus kotin tapiadar masani: I kapinga komui Sam, Kaun pan lang o sappa, me komui okila mepukat sang me lolekong o koiok kan, ap kasale ong seri pwelel akan. At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Ei Sam ai, pwe iduen me komui kupukupura. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Meakaros muei ong ia er sang ren Sam ai, o sota amen, me asa sapwilim a Ol, pwe Sam eta, o sota amen, me asa Sam, pwe sapwilim a Ol eta, o me sapwilim a Ol pan kasale ong. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Komail karos, me pangadar o toutoular kodo re i I pan kamoleilei komail la. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Ale ong komail ai iok, o padakki sang ia; pwe Ngai me opampap o karakarak melel, komail ari pan diarada kamol pan ngen omail. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Pwe ai iok me mangai, o katoutou pai me marara. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
