ARI pein ngai Paulus men panaui komail nin tiak en opampap o limpok en Kristus; pwe ni ai mi nan pung omail, i kin aktikitik, a ni ai doo wei sang komail, i kin kelail ong komail | Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
A i kin kapakapeki, pwe i ender kelail ni ai pan korendo; pwe i kileledier o lamelame, me i pan kelail ong akai, me kin wia kin kit men kekeideki tiak en pali uduk. | But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
Pwe melel, se kin mimita nan uduk, ap sota pepei ni tiak en uduk. | For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
Pwe kapwa en at pei kaidin men ni pali uduk, pwe me manaman mon Kot, me mau ong kawela wasa tengeteng kan. | (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Ni at kin kawela me akapung o me aklapalap, me kin palian erpit en Kot; o kit kin saliedi song en lamelam karos, pwen oke Kristus. | Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
O audaude ong kaloedi me katiwo karos, omail peik lao pwanokadar. | And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Komail kin kilekilang meakan me sansal? Ma amen lamelame, me pein i sapwilim en Kristus, i en pein lameda, me kit pil sapwilim en Kristus dueta i. | Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.
Pwe ma i pan suaiki laude sang at manaman, me Kaun o kotiki ong kit, pwen kamaui a kaidin kawe komail la, i sota pan namenokki. | For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
Pwe ender sansal duen amen me men kamasak kin komail ngai kisin likau kan, | That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
Pwe irail me inda: Kisin likau kan me kasampwal o manaman, a sansal en pali war a me luet, o a padak me mal kot. | For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
A me duen met, a en asa duen at kin inda nan kisin likau kan ni at doo wei sang komail, iduen pein kit ni at wiawia kan nan pung omail. | Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
Pwe kit sota man mauki waroki ong me kin suaiki pein irail; a irail me sololekong, pweki ar sosong pein irail nan pung arail. | For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
A kit sota men suaiki me laud sang me kon ong, a duen men song eu, me Kot kotin pang ong kit, song eu, me itar lel ong komail. | But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
Pwe kit sota inong iong, me sota kon ong, dene se sota pwar wong komail er, a se pil walang komail rongamau en Kristus. | For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
Kit sota kin suaiki me laud sang me kon ong, dene se suaiki en amen a dodok. A se kaporoporeki omail poson lao kakairida, at dodok pil pan laud sang re omail, | Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
Pwen pil padaki rongamau nin sap akan palila sang komail, a kaidin wasan dodok en amen o sota suaiki me wiauier. | To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand.
A ma amen men suaiki, i en suaiki Kaun o. | But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Pwe kaidin i meakot, me kin kapinga pein i, pwe i eta, me Kaun o kin kapinga. | For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
