KAIDIN ngai maiodar? Kaidin wanporon amen ngai? I sota udialer Iesus atail Kaun? Kaidin ai wiawia pan Kaun o komail? | Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
Ma i sota wanporon amen ong me tei ko, a ong komail; pwe komail kasale pan ai koa en wanporon pan Kaun o. | If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
Iduen i kin sapengki, ma meamen kin kalelapok re i. | Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
A sota muei ong kit er, en manga o nim? | Have we not power to eat and to drink?
A sota muei ong kit er, en paudeki li amen, me pan iang kit sailok sili, duen me wanporon tei kan, o ri en Kaun o, o Kepas kin wiada? | Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
De ngai o Parnapas eta me a sota muei ong liki sang dodok en pa at? | Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
Is me kin iang mauin ap pwain pein i? Is me wiada mat en wain eu, me sota kin kang kisan wa? Is me kin kamanga pwin man akan me sota kin kang pil en didi en man oko? | Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
Mepukat i sota kin inda nin tiak en aramas akan, pwe kaidin kapung o me pil masanier due? | Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
Pwe a intingidier nan kapung en Moses: Koe der pira pena au en kau ol amen, me kin tiaka pasang korn. Iaduen, Kot kin apapwali kau ol akan? | For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
De kaidin pweki kit, me a kotin masaniekier mepukat? Pwe me kin sapasap, en kaporoporeki a dodok; o me kin dolung en kaporoporeki, me a pan iang ale kisan wa. | Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
Pwe ma kit wiai ong komail sapasap ngenin, a kaidin me kasampwal kot, me komail pan apwali kit ni pali uduk. | If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
A ma a muei ong me tei kan, ale sang omail dipisou kan, nan kit me so mau ong sang irail? Ari so, kit sota kol ong kit tiak wet, a se men mia ni at apwal akan, pwe sen de karompwa rongamau en Kristus. | If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
Komail sota asa, me irail, me sopisokki saraui, pil mangamanga sang nan im en kaudok, o me irail, me kin papang pei saraui, pil aleki pwais ar sang pei saraui? | Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
Iduen Kaun o kotin masani, me irail, me padaki rongamau, pil pan mangaki rongamau. | Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
A ngai sota kin kol ong ia eu ren mepukat, o i sota inting wei mepukat, pwe komail en kapwai ong ia mepukat, pwe a mau ong ia en mela, mon amen pan kawela mar ai. | But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
Pwe ma i padaki rongamau, sota me i en suaiki, pwe i en udan wiada; pwe sued ong ia, ma i sota padaki rongamau. | For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Pwe ma i peren kida dodok wet, i pan ale kating, a ma i kang wiada, nan kusoned mia, i en wiada. | For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
Ari, ia kating pai ni ai padaki rongamau ap sota pwaipwai, pwe i ender akapwaipwaiki sang rongamau meakot. | What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
Pwe ngai me udan maiodar sang amen amen, ari so, i wia kin ia ladun amen amen, pwe i en kamaurela me toto duen i kak ong. | For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
I wia kin ia Sus amen ong Sus akan, pwen kamaurela Sus akan; o ong irail, me mi pan kapung, dueta pan kapung amen, pwen kamaur ir ala, me mi pan kapung; ari so, ngai solar mi pan kapung. | And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
Ong irail me sota mi pan kapung, i wia kin ia me sota mi pan kapung amen; ari so, kaidin ngai me likin kapung mon Kot, pwe i kin mi pan kapung en Kristus, pwen kamaurela me sota mi pan kapung. | To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
Ong me luet akan, i wia kin ia me luet amen, pwen kamaurela me luet akan. Ngai wiala song karos ong amen amen, pwen kamaurela akai wasa karos. | To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
I me i kin wiawia pweki rongamau, pwe i en iang i pwaisaiski. | And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
Komail sota asa, duen men weir en tang, irail karos kin tang, a amen ta, me pan ale pai? Komail ari en tang idipok, pwe komail en ale. | Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
A amen amen me aktang idipok, kin isesol pokon. Irail kin wia me, pwen ale mar kamong a kitail, pwen ale me so kamong. | And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
Ngai ari aktang sopuiok; ngai kin pepei, a kaidin dueta me woki nan wäwä; | I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
Pwe i kin sok pon war ai, pwen katengedi, pwe i de padaki ong akai, ap pein lokidokila. | But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
