| 2 | Sjå, som augo til tenarar skodar på handi åt herrarne sine, som augo til tenestgjenta på handi åt frua si, soleis skodar våre augo upp til Herren, vår Gud, til dess han vert oss nådig. | Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us. |
| 3 | Ver oss nådig, Herre, ver oss nådig! for me er ovleg metta med vanvyrdnad. | Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. |
