1	이 집을 영광으로 채우실 것이다 일곱째 달 스물한째 날이었다. 여호와의 말씀이 학개 예언자를 통해 내려오는 일이 일어났다.	In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the Lord by the prophet Haggai, saying,
2	(하나님) “말해 주어라, 스알디엘의 아들인 유다 총독 스룹바벨에게! 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대제사장에게도! 모든 남은 백성에게도!	Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
3	‘너희 남은 사람들 가운데서 누가 보았느냐, 이전에 영광스럽던 이 집을? 지금은 그 집이 너희 보기에 어떠하냐? 너희 눈에는 아무것도 아닌 것 같지 않으냐?	Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
4	그러나 이제 용기를 내라, 스룹바벨아! ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 용기를 내라, 여호사닥의 아들 여호수아 대제사장아! 용기를 내라, 이 땅의 모든 백성아! ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 그리고 일해라! 내가 너희와 함께하기 때문이다. ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ―	Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:
5	너희가 이집트에서부터 나올 때 내가 너희와 언약을 맺었다. 그때 말해 둔 것이 있다. 그 말처럼 나의 영이 너희 가운데 머물러 있다. 너희는 두려워하지 마라!’”	According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
6	(예언자) 전능하신 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨기 때문입니다. (하나님) “아직은 조금 지나야 한다. 그러면 내가 하늘과 땅, 바다와 마른땅이 떨게 만들겠다.	For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7	내가 모든 민족이 떨게 만들겠다. 그러면 모든 민족의 값비싼 것들이 들어올 것이다. 내가 이 집을 영광으로 채우겠다. ― 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. ―	And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.
8	은도 나의 것이고 금도 나의 것이다. ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ―	The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.
9	이 집의 나중 영광이 이전 영광보다 클 것이다. ― 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. ― 이곳에 내가 평화를 주겠다. ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― ”	The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
10	이 백성이 깨끗하지 않다 다리우스 임금 둘째 해 아홉째 달 스물넷째 날이었다. 여호와의 말씀이 학개 예언자에게 내려오는 일이 일어났다.	In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,
11	(예언자) “전능하신 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) ‘너는 제사장들에게 가르침을 요청해 보아라.	Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
12	(예언자) 「사람이 거룩한 고기를 자기 옷자락에 싸서 옮길 수 있습니다. 그런데 그 옷자락이 빵이나 끓인 요리나 포도주나 기름이나 어떤 먹을거리에 닿을 수 있습니다. 그러면 그것들이 거룩해집니까?」’” 제사장들이 대답했다. “아닙니다.”	If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
13	학개가 또 말했다. “시체에 닿아 깨끗하지 않은 사람이 앞에서 말한 것들 가운데 하나에 닿으면 그것이 깨끗하지 않게 됩니까?” 제사장들이 대답했다. “그렇습니다.”	Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
14	그러자 학개가 그 말을 이렇게 받았다. “(하나님) ‘이 백성이 이와 같고 이 민족이 이와 같다. 나의 앞에서 그렇다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 그들 손이 하는 일마다 이와 같다. 그들이 거기서 바치는 것도 깨끗하지 않다.’”	Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
15	오늘부터 복을 내리실 것이다 (하나님) “이제 너희는 마음 써서 돌아보아라, 오늘부터 그 이전을, 곧 여호와의 성전에 돌에 돌을 쌓아 올려 놓기 전을!	And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord:
16	너희가 어떠했느냐? 곡식 스무 더미 있는 쪽으로 갔는데 열 더미뿐이었다. 포도즙 50통을 떠내려고 포도즙 틀에 갔는데 20통뿐이었다.	Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
17	내가 마름병과 흰가룻병과 우박으로 너희를 때렸다. 너희 손으로 가꾼 것마다 때렸다. 그런데도 나에게로 돌아오는 사람이 너희 가운데에는 없었다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ―	I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the Lord.
18	너희는 마음 써서 돌아보아라, 오늘부터 그 이전을! 아홉째 달 스물넷째 날부터를, 곧 여호와의 성전의 기초가 놓인 날부터를 마음 써서 돌아보아라!	Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider it.
19	아직 곳간에 씨앗이 있느냐? 포도나무와 무화과나무와 석류나무와 올리브나무가 열매를 맺지 않기에 이르렀지만, 오늘부터 내가 너에게 복을 내리겠다.”	Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
20	스룹바벨에게 주시는 말씀 여호와의 말씀이 학개에게 두 번째로 내려오는 일이 일어났다. 같은 달 스물넷째 날이었다.	And again the word of the Lord came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
21	(하나님) “너는 말해 주어라, 유다 총독 스룹바벨에게! ‘내가 하늘과 땅이 떨게 만들겠다.	Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
22	내가 왕국들의 임금자리를 뒤엎어 버리고, 민족들의 왕국의 강함을 없애 버리겠다. 전투수레와 거기 탄 사람들을 뒤엎어 버리겠다. 말들과 거기 탄 사람들이 저마다 동료의 칼에 쓰러질 것이다.	And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
23	그날에 ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 내가 너를 데려가겠다, 스알디엘의 아들 스룹바벨아, 나의 종아! ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 내가 너를 도장반지처럼 만들겠다. 참으로 너를 내가 골라 뽑았다. ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― ’”	In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.
