1	하나님이 노아와 언약을 세우시다 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 복을 내리셨다. 그리고 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “번성하고 불어나거라. 땅에 가득해지거라.	And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2	땅의 모든 짐승과 하늘의 모든 새와 땅에서 기는 모든 것과 바다의 모든 물고기가 너희를 두려워하고 무서워할 것이다. 너희 손에 그것들을 내가 넘겨주었거든.	And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3	땅에서 살아 움직이는 것은 모두 너희의 먹을거리가 될 것이다. 푸른 푸성귀와 마찬가지로 다 너희에게 주었지.	Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4	다만 목숨 곧 피가 들어 있는 살덩이는 먹지 마라.	But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5	그 어떤 짐승이든 너희 목숨인 피를 쏟게 하면, 그 짐승의 피도 내가 반드시 쏟게 할 것이다. 그 어떤 사람이든 다른 사람의 목숨을 빼앗으면, 내가 그의 목숨도 빼앗을 것이다.	And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
6	다른 사람의 피를 쏟게 하는 사람은, 자기 피를 쏟게 될 것이다. 내가 사람을 하나님의 모습으로 만들었기 때문이다.	Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
7	너희는 번성하고 불어나거라. 땅에서 떼를 이루고 불어나거라.”	And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
8	하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 말씀하셨다.	And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9	“자, 내가 나의 언약을 너희와, 또 너희 뒤를 이을 너희 후손과 세울 것이다.	And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10	너희와 함께한 온갖 생물, 곧 새와 집짐승과 땅의 온갖 짐승에게도 세울 것이다. 방주에서 나온 온갖 짐승, 땅의 온갖 짐승과도 세울 것이다.	And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11	나의 언약을 너희와 함께 세울 것이다. 몸이 있는 어떤 것도 다시는 홍수로 다 끊어 버리지 않을 것이다. 다시는 땅을 무너뜨릴 홍수가 나지 않을 것이다.”	And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12	하나님이 말씀하셨다. “나와 너희 사이에, 또 너희와 함께한 온갖 생물 사이에 대대로 영원히 두는 언약의 증표는 이것이다.	And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13	구름 속에 내 무지개를 두었다. 그것이 내가 나하고 이 세상 사이에 맺은 언약의 증표가 될 것이다.	I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14	내가 구름을 땅 위에 드리울 때면 무지개가 구름 속에서 드러날 것이다.	And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15	그러면 나하고 너희하고 모든 생명체 가운데 온갖 생물 사이에 세운 나의 언약을 내가 기억할 것이다. 다시는 생명체를 다 무너뜨릴 홍수가 나지 않을 것이다.	And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16	무지개가 구름 가운데서 나타나면, 내가 그것을 보고 영원한 언약을 기억할 것이다. 하나님과 땅 위의 모든 생명체 가운데 온갖 생물 사이에 맺은 언약이지.”	And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17	하나님이 노아에게 말씀하셨다. “이것이 언약의 증표이다. 나하고 땅 위의 모든 생명체 사이에 내가 세운 언약이지.”	And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
18	노아가 가나안을 저주하다 방주에서 나온 노아의 아들은 셈, 함, 야벳이었다. 함은 가나안의 아버지였다.	And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
19	이 셋이 노아의 아들이었는데, 이들에게서 사람들이 온 땅으로 퍼져 나갔다.	These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
20	노아는 농사꾼으로 포도밭을 처음으로 일구었다.	And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21	그런데 포도주를 마시고 취하여 천막 한가운데서 벌거벗은 적이 있었다.	And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22	가나안의 아버지 함이 자기 아버지가 벌거벗은 것을 보고는 밖에 있는 형제 두 명에게 알렸다.	And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23	셈과 야벳은 겉옷을 가져다가 자기네 둘의 어깨에 걸치고는 뒷걸음하여 아버지가 벌거벗은 것을 덮어 드렸다. 얼굴을 돌려 아버지가 벌거벗은 것을 보지 않았다.	And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.
24	노아는 술에서 깨어나 막내아들이 자기에게 한 짓을 알았다.	And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25	노아가 말했다. “가나안은 저주받을 것이다. 형제들의 가장 천한 노예가 될 것이다.”	And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26	또 말했다. “찬양받으실 만하지, 셈의 하나님 여호와는! 가나안이 셈의 노예가 되기를!	And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27	하나님이 야벳에게는 넓은 공간을 주시고, 셈의 천막에서 살게 해 주시기를! 가나안이 셈의 노예가 되기를!”	God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
28	노아는 홍수가 난 뒤로 350년을 더 살았다.	And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29	노아는 나이 950세가 되어 죽었다.	And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.
