1	홍수가 나서 방주 안의 사람들과 짐승들 말고는 다 죽다 여호와께서 노아에게 말씀하셨다. “너의 집안사람들과 함께 그 방주에 들어가거라. 내가 보니 이 세대 사람들 가운데서 너야말로 내 앞에서 의롭기 때문이야.	And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2	깨끗한 짐승은 암수 일곱씩, 깨끗하지 않은 짐승은 암수 둘씩 데려가라.	Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3	하늘의 새도 암수 일곱씩 데려가라. 그러면 온 땅 위에 짐승과 새의 씨가 살아남을 것이다.	Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4	이제 7일이 지나면 내가 땅 위에 비를 40일 밤낮으로 내리게 할 것이다. 내가 만들어 둔 것을 땅 위에서 모조리 쓸어버릴 것이다.”	For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5	노아는 여호와께서 명령하신 그대로 했다.	And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6	노아가 600세였을 때 땅 위에 홍수가 났다.	And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7	노아는 아내와 아들들과 며느리들과 함께 홍수를 피해 그 방주에 탔다.	And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8	깨끗한 짐승과 깨끗하지 않은 짐승과 새와 땅 위의 모든 기어다니는 짐승이 탔다.	Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9	암컷과 수컷이 둘씩 노아를 따라 그 방주에 탔다. 하나님이 노아에게 명령하신 대로였다.	There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10	7일이 지나자 땅 위에 홍수가 났다.	And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11	노아가 600세이던 해의 둘째 달 열일곱째 날이었다. 이날에 크고 깊은 샘들이 다 터지고 하늘의 창문들이 열렸다.	In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12	비가 땅 위에 40일 밤낮으로 쏟아졌다.	And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13	바로 이날에 노아가 그 방주에 탔고, 노아의 아들들인 셈, 함, 야벳도 탔다. 또 노아의 아내와 세 명의 며느리도 함께했다.	In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14	그들은 온갖 들짐승, 온갖 집짐승, 땅 위에 기어다니는 온갖 짐승, 온갖 날짐승 곧 날개 달린 온갖 새와 함께 탔다.	They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15	살아 숨 쉬는 몸이 있는 것마다 둘씩 노아를 따라 방주에 탔다.	And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16	몸이 있는 것마다 암컷과 수컷이 와서 탔다. 하나님이 노아에게 명령하신 대로였다. 여호와께서 그의 뒤에서 문을 닫으셨다.	And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
17	땅 위에 40일 동안 홍수가 났다. 그러자 물이 많아져서 방주를 들어 올려 방주가 땅 위에서 떠올랐다.	And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18	물이 불어나 땅 위에 아주 많아지자, 방주가 물 위에 떠다녔다.	And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19	물이 땅 위에서 엄청나게 불어나서 온 하늘 아래 높은 산들을 다 덮어 버렸다.	And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20	물이 그 위로 7.5미터 불어나 산들을 덮어 버렸다.	Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21	땅 위에서 움직이는 몸이 있는 모든 것, 곧 새와 집짐승과 들짐승과 땅 위에서 떼를 이루고 사는 모든 것이 죽었다. 사람도 모두 죽었다.	And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22	마른땅에 있던 것 가운데서 살아 코로 숨 쉬던 것은 다 죽었다.	All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23	하나님은 땅 위에 만들어 두셨던 것을 다 쓸어버리셨다. 곧 사람부터 시작해서 집짐승과 기는 짐승과 하늘의 새에 이르기까지 그렇게 하셨다. 땅에서 다 쓸려 나갔다. 남은 것은 노아와, 또 그와 함께 방주 안에 있었던 것들뿐이었다.	And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24	150일 동안 땅 위에 물이 불어났다.	And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
