1	모압이 쫓겨나 흩어질 것이다 (하나님) “어린양을 보내라, 땅의 통치자에게. 셀라에서 광야를 거쳐, 딸 시온의 산으로 보내라.	Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
2	이런 일이 일어날 것이다. 보금자리에서 쫓겨나 달아나는 새처럼 모압의 딸들이 아르논 나루에 있을 것이다.”	For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
3	(모압) “대책을 세워 주세요. 결정을 내려 주세요. 밤처럼 그대 시온의 그림자를 드리우세요, 대낮이지만. 쫓겨나 흩어진 사람들을 숨겨 주세요. 달아나는 사람이 들키지 않게 해 주세요.	Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
4	쫓겨나 흩어진 우리 모압 사람들이 그대 곁에 머물게 해 주세요. 황폐하게 하는 적을 피해서 그들이 숨을 곳이 되어 주세요.” (하나님) “참으로, 내리누르는 사람이 사라질 것이다. 황폐하게 하는 일이 그칠 것이다. 짓밟는 사람이 땅에서 끝장날 것이다.	Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5	한결같은 사랑으로 임금자리가 세워질 것이다 한결같은 사랑으로 임금자리가 세워질 것이고, 그 위에 한 사람이 앉아 다윗의 천막에서 성실하게 다스릴 것이다. 그는 재판관으로 정의를 추구하는 사람이고 공의를 이루어 내려고 애쓰는 사람이다.”	And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
6	(이스라엘) “우리가 듣기로 모압은 거만하고 몹시 우쭐댄다는군요. 건방지고 거드럭거리고 도를 넘는다는군요. 큰소리치지만 그렇지가 않다는군요.”	We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
7	모압을 위한 울부짖음 (하나님) “이러므로 모압이 모압을 위해 울부짖을 것이다. 전부 울부짖을 것이다. 기르하레셋의 건포도 덩이를 생각하며 그들이 구슬피 울 것이다, 아주 지쳐서.	Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kir–hareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
8	헤스본의 밭들과 십마의 포도나무가 시들었기 때문이다. 민족들의 군주들이 그 고급 포도들을 잘라 버렸다. 야셀까지 닿았고, 광야로 이리저리 나아갔다. 그 가지들은 뻗어 나갔고, 바다를 건넜다.	For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
9	이런 까닭에 나는 야셀이 울듯이 십마의 포도나무를 위해 운다. 나의 눈물로 너를 흠뻑 적신다, 헤스본아, 엘르알레야! 너의 여름 열매와 곡식 수확으로 적들이 기뻐 내지르는 소리가 울려 퍼졌기 때문이다.	Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
10	기쁨과 즐거움이 과수원에서부터 사라지고, 포도밭에는 기쁜 소리와 즐거운 외침이 없을 것이다. 포도즙 틀에는 포도를 밟는 사람이 없을 것이다. 기뻐 내지르는 소리를 내가 그치게 했다.	And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
11	이런 까닭에 나의 애간장이 모압을 위해 기타처럼 소리 내며 들끓는다. 내 속이 기르하레셋을 위해 들끓는다.	Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kir–haresh.
12	이런 일이 일어날 것이다. 모압이 나타나서 높은곳(산당)에서 애를 쓸 것이다. 자신의 거룩한곳(성소)으로 가서 기도할 것이다. 그래도 아무것도 할 수 없을 것이다.”	And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
13	모압이 보잘것없게 될 것이다 (예언자) 여호와께서 모압을 두고 진작부터 하신 말씀은 이러합니다.	This is the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
14	이제 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “삯일꾼의 계약 햇수처럼 3년이 지나면 모압의 영광이 그 모든 큰 무리 가운데서 하찮아질 것이고, 남은 사람의 수가 아주 적어서 보잘것없게 될 것이다.”	But now the Lord hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
