1	모압에 대한 무거운 말씀 모압에 대한 무거운 말씀. (하나님) “밤사이에 황폐해졌다. 아르모압이 전멸했다. 밤사이에 황폐해졌다. 기르모압이 전멸했다.	The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;
2	사람들이 신전에 올라갔다. 디본이 높은곳(산당)들에 올라갔다. 울려고 한 것이다. 느보와 메드바를 두고서 모압이 통곡한다. 머리마다 다 밀어 맨머리가 되어 있었고, 수염마다 깎여 있었다.	He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.
3	거리에는 사람들이 거친 천들을 두르고 있었다. 지붕 위에도 광장에서도 모두들 울부짖고 있었다. 무너져 내려 눈물을 쏟고 있었다.	In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly.
4	헤스본과 엘르알레가 부르짖었다. 야하스까지 그들의 소리가 들렸다. 이 때문에 모압의 전사들이 소리치며, 그들의 마음이 속에서 떤다.	And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.
5	나의 마음이 모압을 위하여 부르짖는다. 모압 난민들은 소알과 에글랏슬리시야까지 이른다. 루힛 오르막을 울면서 올라간다. 호로나임 길에서 파멸의 부르짖음을 사람들이 터뜨린다.	My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.
6	니므림 물길이 황야가 되었다. 풀이 말라 버렸다. 푸성귀가 사라졌다. 푸른 것이 없다.	For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.
7	이런 까닭에 모압이 남겨 두었던 것과 쌓아 놓았던 것을 버드나무 시내로 그들이 옮겨 간다.	Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.
8	참으로 부르짖음이 모압 영토를 감쌌다. 모압의 울부짖음이 에글라임까지, 그 울부짖음이 브엘엘림까지 이른다.	For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer–elim.
9	디몬의 물이 피로 가득 찼다. 내가 디몬에 또 다른 것들을 내리겠다. 모압의 살아남은 사람들과 땅의 남은 사람들에게 사자를 보내겠다.”	For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
