1	엘리후의 대답 이 세 사람은 욥에게 대답하기를 그만두었다. 그가 스스로를 공의롭다고 보았기 때문이다.	So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2	그때 엘리후가 화를 냈다. 그는 바라겔의 아들이자 람 가문의 부스 사람이었다. 욥한테 그가 화를 낸 것은 욥이 자신을 하나님보다 더 의롭다고 여겼기 때문이다.	Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
3	또한 그의 세 친구에게 화를 냈다. 제대로 대답도 못하면서 욥을 불의하다고 했기 때문이다.	Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4	그러나 엘리후는 욥에게 말하기 전에 기다렸다. 다른 사람들이 자기보다 나이가 많았기 때문이다.	Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
5	엘리후는 세 사람이 더는 할 말이 없는 것을 보고서 화를 냈다.	When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
6	엘리후의 말 바라겔의 아들 부스 사람 엘리후가 대답하여 말했다. “저는 어리고 어르신들은 연세가 높으십니다. 그래서 어르신들께 제가 아는 것 드러내기가 조심스럽고 두려웠습니다.	And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
7	저는 생각했습니다. ‘나이가 말해 줄 거야. 긴 세월이 지혜를 가르쳐 줄 거야.’	I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
8	그러나 영은 사람 속에 있습니다. 샷다이(전능하신 분)의 숨결이 깨닫게 하지요.	But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
9	지혜로운 사람이 많지는 않습니다. 나이 든 사람이라고 무엇이 옳은지 깨닫는 것 아닙니다.	Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
10	그래서 제가 말씀드리겠으니 제 말씀 좀 들어 주십시오. 저도 제가 아는 것을 드러내겠습니다.	Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
11	보십시오, 저는 어르신들 말씀을 기다렸습니다. 어르신들 번뜩이는 생각을 들으려 귀 기울였습니다. 그때 어르신들은 할 말을 찾고 계셨지요.	Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
12	어르신들만 바라보고 있었는데, 보세요, 욥 어르신을 나무라는 분 없습니다. 선생님들 중에 그의 말에 대답하시는 분 없군요.	Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
13	혹시 이렇게 말씀하시면 안 됩니다. ‘우리가 드디어 지혜를 찾았어. 그를 몰아치실 분은 하나님이시지 사람이 아니야.’	Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
14	욥 어르신의 말이 저를 겨냥한 것은 아니었으니, 그분에게 어르신들 방식으로는 대답하지 않겠습니다.”	Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15	‘그들이 놀라 더는 대답을 못 하는구나. 말문이 막혀 버렸구나.	They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
16	내가 기다려야 하나? 그들이 아무 말 못 하는데. 가만히 서서 더는 대답을 못 하는데.	When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
17	나도 내 몫을 해야지. 나도 나 아는 것을 드러내야지.	I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
18	나한테 할 말이 넘쳐 나니. 내 뱃속 바람이 나를 몰아대고 있으니.	For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
19	이봐, 내 뱃속은 마치 열지 않은 포도주 같아. 새 가죽 부대처럼 터질 거야.	Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
20	말을 할 거야. 그럼 후련하겠지. 입술을 열어 대답할 거야.	I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
21	누구 편도 들지 않을 거야. 누구에게도 잘 보이려 하지 않을 거야.	Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
22	나는 잘 보일 줄 모르니까. 그러면 나를 지으신 분이 나를 바로 데려가실 수도 있으니까.’	For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
