절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	두 무화과 광주리 (예언자) 여호와께서 나한테 보여 주셨습니다. 아, 무화과 광주리 두 개가 여호와의 성전 앞에 놓여 있는 것이 아닙니까! 바빌론 임금 네부카드네자르가 여호야김의 아들인 유다 임금 여고냐를 예루살렘에서 사로잡아 바빌론으로 데려간 뒤였습니다. 유다의 고위 관리들과 기술자들과 금속 세공인들도 사로잡아 간 뒤였습니다.	The Lord shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the Lord, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2	한 광주리에는 아주 좋은 무화과가 담겨 있었습니다. 일찍 익은 무화과 같았습니다. 다른 한 광주리에는 아주 좋지 않은 무화과가 담겨 있었습니다. 좋지 않아서 먹을 수 없는 무화과였습니다.	One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3	그때 여호와께서 나한테 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “무엇을 네가 보고 있느냐, 예레미야야!” (예언자) 내가 대답했습니다. “무화과를 보고 있습니다. 좋은 무화과는 아주 좋고, 좋지 않은 무화과는 아주 좋지 않습니다. 좋지 않아서 먹을 수가 없습니다.”	Then said the Lord unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
4	여호와의 말씀이 나에게 내려오는 일이 일어났습니다.	Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
5	여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “이 좋은 무화과 같은 것은 사로잡혀 간 유다 사람들이다. 그들은 내가 이곳에서 칼데아 땅으로 내보낸 사람들이다. 구원에 이르게 하려는 것이다.	Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
6	나의 눈길을 그들에게 두어 보살피고 그들이 구원에 이르게 하겠다. 그들을 이 땅으로 돌아오게 해 주겠다. 그들을 세워 주지만 헐어 버리지는 않겠다. 심어 주지만 뽑아내지는 않겠다.	For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7	그들에게 나를 아는 마음을 주겠다. 그러면 그들이 알 것이다, 내가 여호와인 것을! 그래서 그들이 나에게 백성이 되고 나야말로 그들에게 하나님이 될 것이다. 그들이 온 마음으로 나에게 돌아올 것이기 때문이다.	And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
8	그렇지만 좋지 않은 무화과, 곧 좋지 않아서 먹을 수 없는 무화과처럼 ― 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ― 내가 유다 임금 시드기야를 내주겠다. 그의 고위 관리들과 이 땅에 남아서 예루살렘에 있는 사람들과 이집트 땅에 사는 사람들도 내주겠다.	And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the Lord, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
9	그래서 내가 땅의 모든 왕국이 그들의 모습을 보고 겁먹어 떨게 만들고 재난으로 여기게 하겠다. 그들이 모욕과 속담과 비웃음과 저주의 대상이 되도록 만들겠다. 내가 그들을 쫓아낸 모든 곳에서 그렇게 하겠다.	And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
10	내가 그들 가운데로 칼과 굶주림과 돌림병을 보내겠다. 그들과 그들의 조상들에게 준 땅에서 그들이 완전히 망할 때까지 그렇게 하겠다.”	And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
