1	유다를 벌하시려는 여호와 (예언자) 여호와께서 나에게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “모세나 사무엘이 내 앞에 서서 이 백성을 위해 기도한다 하더라도, 나의 마음은 이 백성에게로 향하지 않을 것이다. 그들을 내 앞에서 내보내어 나가게 하여라.	Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
2	그들이 너에게 ‘어디로 나가야 하나요?’ 하고 묻거든 그들에게 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「죽을 사람은 죽음을 향해, 칼에 맞을 사람은 칼을 향해 나가라. 굶주릴 사람은 굶주림을 향해, 사로잡힐 사람은 사로잡힘을 향해 나가라.	And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.
3	내가 그들에게 네 가지 벌을 내리겠다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 칼에 맞아 죽는 벌, 개들에게 끌려가는 벌, 하늘의 새가 집어삼켜 망하게 하는 벌, 땅의 짐승이 그렇게 하는 벌이다.	And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
4	그래서 땅의 모든 왕국이 그들의 모습을 보고 겁먹어 떨게 만들겠다. 히스기야의 아들인 유다 임금 므낫세가 예루살렘에서 저지른 짓 때문이다.」’”	And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
5	유다는 잘못된 길에서 돌아서지 않았다 (하나님) “누가 너를 가엾게 여기며, 예루살렘아, 누가 너와 함께 슬퍼할까? 누가 일부러 와서 네가 잘 지내는지 물어봐 줄까?	For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
6	너는 나를 저버렸다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 너는 나를 등졌다. 그래서 내가 나의 손을 너의 위로 뻗어서 너를 망가뜨렸다. 뜻을 거두어들이기에도 나는 지쳤다.	Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
7	그래서 내가 그들을 땅의 여러 성문에서 키로 까불렀지. 자식이 없게 했다. 나의 백성을 망하게 했지. 스스로의 잘못된 길에서 그들이 돌아서지 않았기 때문이다.	And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.
8	그들 가운데 남편 여읜 여자가 내가 보기에는 바닷모래보다 더 많아졌다. 내가 그들한테, 젊은 자식 둔 어머니한테, 황폐하게 할 적군이 대낮에 닥치게 했다. 그 어머니에게 갑자기 덮치게 했다, 무섭고 놀라운 일이!	Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.
9	아이 일곱을 낳은 여자가 기력을 잃고 숨을 헐떡였다. 아직 낮인데 그 여자의 태양이 져서, 그 여자가 창피해하고 수치스러워했다. 그들 가운데 남은 사람들은 내가 칼에 맞도록 내줄 것이다, 그들의 적들 앞에. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ―”	She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the Lord.
10	나쁜 사람들의 손에서 건져 내 주실 것이다 (예언자) 나, 큰일 났습니다, 어머니! 나를 낳아 놓으셨군요. 다툴 사람, 말싸움할 사람을 낳아 놓으셨군요, 온 땅을 위해서요. 내가 사람들한테서 빌려 오지도 않고 사람들이 나한테서 빌려 가지도 않았는데, 모두들 나를 저주하는군요.	Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.
11	여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “내가 반드시 너한테 좋은 것이 넉넉하도록 해 주겠다. 반드시 너를 위해 나서 주겠다, 재난의 때, 원수한테 어려움을 겪을 때에!	The Lord said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
12	사람이 쇠를 깨뜨릴 수 있겠느냐? 북쪽에서 가져온 쇠와 놋을?	Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?
13	너 유다의 재산과 보물들을 전리품으로 내가 넘겨주겠다, 아무런 값도 받지 않고. 네가 저지른 모든 죗값으로 너의 전체 영토에서 그렇게 하겠다.	Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
14	네가 알지 못하는 땅에서 네가 너의 원수들을 섬기도록 만들겠다. 내 분노로 붙은 불길이 너희 위에서 타오를 것이다.”	And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.
15	(예언자) 주님은 아십니다, 여호와여! 나를 기억하시고 나를 찾아 주십시오. 나를 박해하는 자들에게 나 대신 앙갚음해 주십시오. 주님이 분노를 오래 참고 계시다가 나를 데려가시는 일이 없게 해 주십시오. 알아주십시오, 내가 주님 때문에 치욕을 겪는 것을!	O Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
16	주님의 말씀들이 눈에 띄어 내가 먹었습니다. 그랬더니 주님의 말씀들이 나한테는 기쁨이 되고 내 마음의 즐거움이 되었습니다. 사람들이 나한테 주님의 이름을 붙여 부르기 때문입니다, 여호와 전능하신 하나님!	Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
17	나는 노닥거리는 사람들의 모임 가운데 앉아서 즐거워하지 않았습니다. 주님의 손에 붙잡혀 따로 앉아 있었습니다. 노여움을 주님이 나한테 가득 채우셨기 때문입니다.	I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
18	무슨 까닭으로 나의 아픔이 끊이지 않습니까? 내가 얻어맞은 상처가 낫지 않습니까? 나으려고 하지 않습니까? 주님이 나한테는 여름에 말라 버리는 시내처럼 되셨습니다. 그런 물은 신뢰할 수 없습니다.	Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?
19	이러므로 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “네가 돌아온다면 내가 너를 다시 나의 앞에 서게 해 주겠다. 네가 하찮은 말 대신에 귀한 말을 한다면, 너는 나의 입처럼 될 것이다. 그들은 너에게 돌아오더라도, 너는 그들에게 돌아가지 마라.	Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
20	내가 너를 이 백성한테는 요새의 놋성벽처럼 만들어 주겠다. 그래서 그들이 너와 싸우더라도 너를 이겨 내지 못할 것이다. 내가 너와 함께하여 너를 구원해 주고 너를 건져 내 줄 것이기 때문이다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ―	And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
21	내가 너를 나쁜 사람들의 손에서 건져 내 주고, 폭력배들의 손아귀에서 벗어나게 해 주겠다.”	And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
