1	므낫세가 유다를 다스리며 나쁜 짓을 저지르다 므낫세가 임금이 되었을 때 12세였다. 55년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 이름은 헵시바흐이다.	Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi–bah.
2	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 여호와께서 이스라엘 사람들 앞에서 내쫓으신 민족들이 하던 역겨운 일을 따른 것이다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
3	자기 아버지 히스기야가 없애 버린 높은곳(산당)들을 다시 세웠다. 바알 제단을 일으켜 세우고, 이스라엘 임금 아합이 했던 것처럼 아세라 말뚝을 만들었다. 하늘의 모든 별에게 엎드려 절하며 그것들을 섬겼다.	For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4	여호와의 집에 제단들을 세웠다. 여호와께서 “예루살렘에 내 이름을 두겠다.” 하신 그곳에 세운 것이다.	And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5	하늘의 모든 별을 섬기는 제단들을 여호와의 집 두 뜰에 세웠다.	And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6	그는 자기 아들을 불 가운데로 지나가게 했다. 마술을 부리고 점을 쳤다. 죽은 사람의 영이나 점치는 영들에게 묻기도 했다. 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 많이 저질러 화를 돋우었다.	And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7	자기가 만든 아세라 신상을 그 집에 두었다. 그 집을 두고 여호와께서 다윗과 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “이 집에, 내가 이스라엘의 모든 지파 가운데서 고른 예루살렘에 나의 이름을 영원히 두겠다.	And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the Lord said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8	더는 이스라엘의 발을, 그들의 조상들에게 내가 준 땅에서 정처 없이 떠돌게 하지 않겠다. 다만 그들이 내가 그들에게 명령한 그대로, 나의 종 모세가 그들에게 명령한 모든 가르침을 지키며 살기만 한다면, 그렇게 해 주겠다.”	Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9	그러나 백성은 듣지 않았다. 므낫세는 그들을 악한 길로 이끌어 나쁜 짓을 저지르게 했다. 여호와께서 이스라엘 사람들 앞에서 쓸어버리신 민족들이 한 것보다 더 나쁜 짓이었다.	But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.
10	여호와께서 자신의 종인 예언자들을 통해 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11	“유다 임금 므낫세가 이런 역겨운 짓을 했습니다. 앞서 있던 아모리 사람들이 했던 모든 짓보다 더 나쁜 짓이었습니다. 또한 유다를 자기가 만든 우상으로 죄짓게 했습니다.	Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12	그러므로 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘이제 내가 예루살렘과 유다에 나쁜 일이 닥치게 할 것이다. 소문을 듣는 사람마다 두 귀가 얼얼할 것이다.	Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13	나는 사마리아를 재어 본 측량 끈과 아합 집안을 달아 본 추를 예루살렘 위에 펼치겠다. 그래서 그릇을 닦듯이 예루살렘을 닦아 내 버리겠다. 닦아서 뒤집을 것이다.	And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14	나의 몫 가운데 나머지는 내버려두겠다. 그들을 자기네 적의 손에 넘겨주겠다. 그러면 그들은 그들의 모든 적한테 빼앗기고 털리게 될 것이다.	And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15	그들이 내 앞에서 나쁜 짓을 저질렀기 때문이다. 그들의 조상들이 이집트에서 나온 날부터 오늘까지 나의 화를 돋우고 있기 때문이다.’”	Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16	더구나 죄 없는 사람의 피를 므낫세가 매우 많이 흘렸다. 그 피로 예루살렘 이 끝에서 저 끝까지 채울 정도였다. 그 밖에도 죄가 있었다. 그는 유다를 죄짓게 하여 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저지르게 했던 것이다.	Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
17	므낫세에 관한 나머지 일과 그가 했던 모든 일과 그가 저지른 죄는 유다 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18	므낫세가 자기 조상들과 함께 누워, 그의 집 동산 곧 웃사의 동산에 묻혔다. 그의 아들 아몬이 그를 이어 임금이 되었다. ()	And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19	아몬이 유다 임금이 되다 아몬이 임금이 되었을 때 22세였다. 2년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 이름은 므술레멧이고 하루스의 딸로 욧바 사람이었다.	Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20	그는 여호와께서 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다. 그의 아버지 므낫세가 한 대로 한 것이다.	And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did.
21	그는 자기 아버지가 걸었던 길을 다 따라서 걸었다. 아버지가 섬기던 우상을 섬기고 그것들에게 엎드려 절했다.	And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22	여호와 자기 조상들의 하나님을 버리고 여호와의 길로 걷지 않았다.	And he forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
23	아몬의 신하들이 그를 두고 일을 꾸며서, 임금을 그의 집에서 죽였다.	And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24	그러나 그 땅의 백성은 아몬 임금을 두고 일을 꾸몄던 사람들을 모두 쳐서 죽였다. 그 땅의 백성은 그의 아들 요시야를 그를 이어 임금이 되게 했다.	And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25	아몬이 했던 나머지 일은 유다 임금들의 역사일지에 적혀 있지 않은가?	Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26	아몬은 웃사의 동산에 있는 그의 무덤에 묻혔다. 그의 아들 요시야가 그를 이어 임금이 되었다.	And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
