1	아모스가 이스라엘에 관해 본 것 드고아 출신 목자들 가운데 하나인 아모스의 말. 그것은 그가 이스라엘에 관해 본 것이었다. 웃시야가 유다 임금인 때이자 여호아스의 아들 여로보암이 이스라엘 임금이던 때였다. 지진이 있기 2년 전이었다.	The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2	아모스가 말했다. (예언자) “여호와께서 시온에서부터 울부짖으시고, 예루살렘에서부터 목소리를 내십니다. 목자들의 목초지들이 말라 버리고, 갈멜산 꼭대기가 메마를 것입니다.”	And he said, The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3	민족들이 심판받을 것이다 (예언자) 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “다마스쿠스의 세 가지 범죄 때문에, 또 네 가지 때문에 내가 예고한 심판을 거두어들이지 않겠다. 그들이 쇠못 박아 둔 타작 널판으로 길르앗을 밟아 뭉갰기 때문이다.	Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4	내가 하사엘의 집 안으로 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 벤하닷의 궁궐들을 집어삼킬 것이다.	But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben–hadad.
5	내가 다마스쿠스의 문빗장을 부수겠다. 주민을 아웬 골짜기에서부터, 통치 지팡이 든 사람을 베데덴에서부터 뿌리 뽑겠다. 그래서 시리아 백성이 기르로 사로잡혀 갈 것이다.” (예언자) 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다.	I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the Lord.
6	여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “가자의 세 가지 범죄 때문에, 또 네 가지 때문에 내가 예고한 심판을 거두어들이지 않겠다. 그들이 사람들을 모조리 사로잡아 끌고 가서 에돔에 넘겨주었기 때문이다.	Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7	내가 불을 가자의 성벽에 보내겠다. 그 불이 가자의 궁궐들을 집어삼킬 것이다.	But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8	내가 주민을 아스돗에서부터, 통치 지팡이 든 사람을 아스글론에서부터 뿌리 뽑겠다. 내가 나의 손을 에그론 쪽으로 돌리면 필리스티아의 남은 사람들이 망할 것이다.” (예언자) 주 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다.	And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord God.
9	여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “티레의 세 가지 범죄 때문에, 또 네 가지 때문에 내가 예고한 심판을 거두어들이지 않겠다. 그들이 사람들을 모조리 사로잡아 에돔에 넘겨주면서 형제 사이의 약속을 기억하지 않았기 때문이다.	Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10	내가 불을 티레의 성벽에 보내겠다. 그 불이 티레의 궁궐들을 집어삼킬 것이다.”	But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11	(예언자) 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “에돔의 세 가지 범죄 때문에, 또 네 가지 때문에 내가 예고한 심판을 거두어들이지 않겠다. 그가 칼을 들고 자신의 형제를 뒤쫓으면서, 불쌍히 여기는 마음을 버렸기 때문이다. 계속해서 분노로 잡아 찢으면서, 언제까지나 노여움을 품고 있었기 때문이다.	Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12	내가 데만 안으로 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 보스라의 궁궐들을 집어삼킬 것이다.”	But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13	(예언자) 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “암몬 사람들의 세 가지 범죄 때문에, 또 네 가지 때문에 내가 예고한 심판을 거두어들이지 않겠다. 그들이 아이를 가진 길르앗 여자들의 배를 갈랐기 때문이다. 자신들의 영토를 넓히려고 한 것이다.	Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14	내가 랍바의 성벽에 불을 놓겠다. 그 불이 랍바의 궁궐들을 집어삼킬 것이다. 전쟁하는 날의 함성 가운데서, 폭풍 치는 날의 세찬 바람 가운데서 그럴 것이다.	But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15	그들의 임금이 그의 지휘관들과 함께 사로잡혀 갈 것이다.” (예언자) 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다.	And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the Lord.
