1	“여호와가 우리를 위해 계시지 않았다고 해 봐요.” 하고이스라엘은 말해야지요.	If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2	자기 백성을 지키시는 하나님 / 성전으로 올라가면서 부르는 노래. 다윗에게 속한 것. “여호와가 우리를 위해 계시지 않았다고 해 봐요, 사람들이 우리에게 맞서 일어났을 때.	If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3	그랬더라면 그들이 우리를 산 채로 집어삼켰겠지요, 우리를 향한 분노로 불타올라서.	Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4	그랬더라면 물이 우리를 휩쓸어 갔겠지요. 강물이 우리 목 위로 흘러넘쳤겠지요.	Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5	치솟는 물이 우리 목 위로 흘러넘쳤겠지요!”	Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6	찬양받으실 만합니다, 여호와는. 우리를 그들의 이에 먹잇감으로 넘겨주지 않으신 분이십니다.	Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7	우리 목숨은 사냥꾼의 올가미에서 빠져나온 새 같습니다. 올가미가 끊어지고, 우리는 빠져나왔습니다!	Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8	우리의 도움은 여호와의 이름에 있습니다. 그분은 하늘과 땅을 만드신 여호와이십니다.	Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
