절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	삼손이 딤나에서 소란을 피우다 삼손이 딤나로 내려가서, 딤나에서 한 여자를 보았다. 필리스티아 사람들의 딸들 가운데 한 사람이었다.	And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2	삼손은 올라와서 자기 아버지와 어머니에게 말씀드렸다. “한 여자를 딤나에서 보았어요. 필리스티아 사람들의 딸들 가운데 한 사람이었어요. 이제 그를 데려와서, 제 아내로 맞이하도록 해 주세요.”	And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3	삼손의 아버지와 어머니가 그에게 말했다. “네 아버지 집안의 딸이나 내 모든 백성 가운데 여자가 없다는 것이냐? 그래서 할례받지 않은 필리스티아 사람들 가운데서 아내를 맞이하려는 것이냐?” 삼손이 아버지에게 대답했다. “그 여자를 저에게 데려와 주세요. 그 여자야말로 저의 눈에 드는 사람이니까요.”	Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
4	그의 아버지와 어머니는 이 일이 여호와에게서 비롯된 줄 알지 못했다. 여호와께서는 필리스티아 사람들에게서 트집거리를 찾고 계셨던 것이다. 그때는 필리스티아 사람들이 이스라엘을 다스리고 있었다.	But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
5	삼손은 아버지와 어머니를 모시고 딤나로 내려갔고, 그들은 딤나의 포도밭 지역에 이르렀다. 그런데 거기, 젊은 사자가 으르렁거리며 삼손을 맞이하는 것이 아닌가!	Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6	그때 여호와의 영이 삼손 안으로 밀고 들어가셨다. 그러자 그는 어린 염소를 잡아 찢듯이 젊은 사자를 잡아 찢었다. 그의 손에는 아무것도 없었다. 삼손은 자신이 어떻게 했는지 아버지와 어머니에게 알려 드리지 않았다.	And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
7	그렇지만 내려가서 그 여자에게는 말해 주었다. 그 여자가 삼손에게 맞는 사람으로 보였던 것이다.	And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8	얼마 지나서 삼손은 그 여자를 아내로 맞아들이려고 다시 그리로 갔다. 길에서 벗어나 사자의 사체를 찾아 보았다. 그런데, 아, 죽은 사자의 몸 안에 벌떼가 들어 있고 꿀도 있는 것이 아닌가!	And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
9	삼손은 꿀을 꺼내어 손바닥에 바르고는 걸어가면서 먹었다. 그러고는 아버지와 어머니에게 가서 드리자, 그들도 먹었다. 그렇지만 죽은 사자의 몸에서 꿀을 꺼내어 왔다고는 아버지와 어머니에게 알려 드리지 않았다.	And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
10	삼손의 아버지가 그 여자에게 내려갔고, 삼손은 거기서 잔치를 베풀었다. 젊은이들이 그렇게 하곤 했기 때문이다.	So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11	삼손을 보자, 사람들이 들러리를 설 친구 30명을 데려다주어 그와 함께 있게 했다.	And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12	삼손이 그들에게 말했다. “그대들에게 수수께끼를 내어 보겠네. 잔치하는 7일 동안 그대들이 그 수수께끼를 알아맞히면, 30벌의 리넨 셔츠와 나들이옷을 주겠네.	And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13	그대들이 알아맞히지 못하면, 리넨 셔츠 30벌과 30벌의 나들이옷을 나에게 주어야 하네.” 그들이 삼손에게 대답했다. “수수께끼를 내 보게나. 우리가 들어 볼 테니.”	But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
14	삼손이 그들에게 말했다. “먹는 것에서 먹을거리가 나왔고, 강한 것에서 달콤한 것이 나왔네.” 그들은 3일이 지나도록 그 수수께끼를 풀지 못했다.	And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
15	일곱 번째 날이 되자 그들이 삼손의 아내를 위협했다. “네 남편을 꾀어서 우리가 그 수수께끼를 알아맞히게 해라. 그렇지 않으면 너와 너의 아버지 집을 불태워 버릴 테다. 우리 것을 빼앗으려고 너희가 우리를 부른 것이 아니냐? 그렇지 않느냐?”	And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16	삼손의 아내는 남편의 가슴에 얼굴을 파묻은 채 울며 말했다. “당신은 나를 미워하기만 해요. 나를 사랑하지 않아요. 내 백성에게 수수께끼를 내고는 나에게조차 이야기해 주지 않았어요.” 삼손이 아내에게 말했다. “보세요, 나의 아버지와 어머니에게도 이야기해 드리지 않았어요. 당신에게 이야기해 줄 수 없어요.”	And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
17	그들의 잔치가 있었던 7일 동안 그 여자는 삼손의 가슴에 얼굴을 파묻은 채 울었다. 일곱 번째 날이 되자 삼손이 아내에게 이야기해 주었다. 아내가 삼손을 물고 늘어졌기 때문이다. 삼손의 아내는 자신의 백성에게 수수께끼를 알아맞히게 해 주었다.	And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18	그 도시의 사람들이 삼손에게 말했다. 일곱 번째 날 해가 지기 전이었다. “무엇이 꿀보다 달콤하고 무엇이 사자보다 강하겠는가?” 그러자 삼손이 그들에게 말했다. “너희가 암송아지 같은 내 아내를 데리고 밭을 갈지 않았더라면, 내 수수께끼를 알아맞힐 수 없었을 텐데.”	And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
19	그때 여호와의 영이 삼손 안으로 밀고 들어가셨다. 그러자 삼손이 아스글론으로 내려가서 그곳 사람들 가운데서 30명을 쳐 죽이고, 물건을 빼앗아 가져왔다. 그러고는 수수께끼를 알아맞힌 사람들에게 나들이옷을 주었다. 삼손은 노여움으로 불타올라서 아버지의 집으로 올라갔다.	And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
20	삼손의 아내는 그의 친구의 아내가 되었다. 그의 결혼식에 들러리를 섰던 가장 가까운 친구였다.	But Samson’s wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.
