1	미리암이 병들었다가 낫다 미리암과 아론이 모세가 아내로 맞아들인 에티오피아 여자 때문에 모세에게 맞서 말했다. 에티오피아 여자를 모세가 아내로 맞아들였던 것이다.	And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2	미리암과 아론이 말했다. “여호와께서 모세하고만 말씀을 나누셨는가? 우리하고도 말씀을 나누지 않으셨는가?” 여호와께서 그것을 들으셨다.	And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
3	그런데 그 사람 모세는 매우 겸손했다. 땅 위의 어떤 사람보다도 더 겸손했다.	(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4	여호와께서 곧바로 모세와 아론과 미리암에게 말씀하셨다. “너희 셋은 만남의 천막으로 나아오너라.” 세 사람이 나아갔다.	And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5	여호와께서 구름기둥 가운데 내려오셔서 만남의 천막 입구에 서셨다. 그러고는 아론과 미리암을 부르시자 그 둘이 나아왔다.	And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6	여호와께서 말씀하셨다. “나의 말을 들어 보아라. 너희 가운데 예언자가 있으면, 그에게는 여호와가 자신을 환상으로 알리고 그와는 꿈으로 이야기를 나눈다.	And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7	나의 종 모세에게는 그렇게 하지 않는다. 모세는 내가 나의 집 전체를 맡긴 사람이다.	My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8	그와는 내가 입과 입을 마주하여 이야기하고, 분명히 말해 주지 수수께끼로 하지 않는다. 모세는 여호와의 모습을 본다. 그런데도 너희는 겁 없이 왜 나의 종 모세를 흉보느냐?”	With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9	여호와께서는 그들을 향한 노여움으로 불타올라서 떠나 버리셨다.	And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed.
10	구름이 천막 위에서 사라져 버리자, 이런, 미리암이 심한피부병에 걸린 것이 아닌가! 마치 눈처럼 보였다. 아론이 돌아서서 미리암을 보았더니, 아, 심한피부병에 걸려 있었다!	And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11	아론이 모세에게 간청했다. “주제넘은 말이지만, 이보시게! 우리에게 죄를 묻지 마시게. 우리가 어수룩하게 행동했네. 우리가 죄를 지었네.	And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12	누님이 죽은 사람처럼 되지 않게 해 주시게. 살이 반이나 썩은 채 어머니의 아기집에서 나오는 아이처럼 되지 않게 해 주시게.”	Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.
13	모세가 여호와께 부르짖었다. “하나님, 제발, 그를 제발 고쳐 주십시오.”	And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
14	여호와께서 모세에게 대답하셨다. “너희 아버지가 혹시 그의 얼굴에 침을 뱉었더라도, 그가 7일 동안은 부끄러워해야 하지 않겠느냐? 그를 7일 동안 진영 밖에 내쳐 두었다가 그 뒤에 돌아오게 해라.”	And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
15	미리암은 7일 동안 진영 밖에 내쳐져 있었다. 백성은 미리암이 돌아올 때까지 길을 나서지 않았다.	And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16	그 뒤에 백성은 하세롯에서 길을 나서서 가다가 바란 광야에 이르러 진을 쳤다.	And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
