1	여호와의 날이 오고 있다 (하나님) “보라, 그날이 오고 있다! 아궁이처럼 불타고 있다. 건방진 사람들은 모두, 또 악한 짓을 저지르는 사람은 누구나 지푸라기가 될 것이다. 그들을, 다가오는 그날이 태워 버릴 것이다. ― 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. ― 그래서 그날이 그들에게 뿌리도, 가지도 남겨 두지 않을 것이다.	For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2	그러나 너희 곧 나의 이름을 두려워하는 사람들에게는 공의라는 태양이 떠올라, 그 날개인 빛살로 낫게 해 줄 것이다. 너희가 나가서, 외양간에서 키운 살진 송아지들같이 껑충껑충 뛸 것이다.	But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3	또 너희가 악인들을 밟아 뭉갤 것이다. 그들이 너희 발바닥 아래에서 먼지가 될 것이기 때문이다. 그날은 내가 마련하는 날이다. ― 전능하신 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. ―	And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4	너희는 기억해라, 나의 종 모세의 가르침을! 온 이스라엘을 두고서 내가 호렙에서 그에게 명령한 규정들과 법령들이다.	Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5	보라, 내가 너희에게 엘리야 예언자를 보내겠다. 여호와의 크고 무서운 날이 닥치기 전에 보내겠다.	Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6	그가 부모들의 마음이 자식들에게 돌아오게 하고, 자식들의 마음이 부모들에게 돌아오게 할 것이다. 그래서 내가 올 때 땅을 쳐서 완전히 없애 버리는 일이 없도록 할 것이다.”	And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
