1	예수님의 모습이 변화되다 6일 뒤에 예수님이 베드로와 야고보와 그의 형제 요한을 데리고 따로 높은 산으로 올라가신다.	And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2	거기서 그들이 보는 앞에서 예수님의 모습이 변화되었다. 또 예수님의 얼굴이 해처럼 빛났다. 예수님의 옷은 빛처럼 새하얗게 되었다.	And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3	그런데, 보라, 모세와 엘리야가 그들에게 나타나서, 예수님과 더불어 말씀을 나누고 있었다.	And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4	베드로가 끼어들어 예수님께 말씀드렸다. “주님, 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋습니다. 원하시면 제가 여기에 천막을 세 채 마련하도록 하겠습니다. 주님을 위해 한 채, 모세를 위해 한 채, 엘리야를 위해서 한 채를요.”	Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5	베드로가 아직 말을 하고 있을 때, 보라, 빛나는 구름이 그들을 휘덮었다. 또, 보라, 구름 속에서 소리가 났다. “이는 사랑하는 내 아들이다. 나는 그가 좋다. 너희는 그의 말을 들어라.”	While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6	제자들이 듣고서 납작 엎드렸다. 그들은 너무나 두려웠다.	And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7	그러자 예수님이 다가가셔서 그들을 어루만져 주시고는 말씀하셨다. “일어나요. 두려워하지 말아요.”	And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8	그들이 눈을 들어 보았지만 아무도 보이지 않았다. 오직 예수님뿐이었다.	And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9	산에서 내려오는 동안 예수님이 그들에게 명령하셨다. 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “그대들이 본 환상에 대해 아무한테도 말하지 마세요. 인자가 죽은 사람들 가운데서 일으킴받아 살아날 때까지는요.”	And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
10	제자들이 예수님께 파고들어 여쭈어보았다. “그런데 왜 율법학자들은 ‘엘리야가 반드시 먼저 와야 한다.’라고 말합니까?”	And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11	예수님이 대답하셨다. “엘리야가 와서 모든 것을 다시 일으켜 세울 겁니다.	And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12	그런데 그대들에게 말합니다. 엘리야가 이미 왔습니다. 그러나 사람들은 그를 알아보지 못하고 자기들 마음대로 그에게 해 버렸어요. 그처럼 인자도 머지않아 그들에게 고난을 겪을 겁니다.”	But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13	그때에 비로소 제자들은, 예수님이 세례자 요한을 두고 말씀하셨다는 것을 이해했다. (; 상)	Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
14	귀신 들린 아이를 고치시다 예수님과 세 명의 제자가 무리한테로 왔다. 그때 어떤 사람이 예수님께 다가와 그 앞에 무릎을 꿇었다.	And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15	그러면서 말했다. “주님, 제 아들을 불쌍히 여겨 주십시오. 뇌전증에 걸려 몹시 고통을 겪고 있습니다. 여러 번 불속으로 또 여러 번 물속으로 쓰러졌습니다.	Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16	그래서 제가 그 아이를 주님의 제자들에게 데려왔습니다. 그러나 그들은 고쳐 줄 수 없었습니다.”	And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17	예수님이 대답하셨다. “아, 믿음 없고 비뚤어진 세대 사람들이여! 언제까지 내가 여러분과 함께 있어야 한단 말입니까? 언제까지 여러분을 받아 주어야 한단 말입니까? 그 아이를 나에게 데려오세요. 이리로요.”	Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18	예수님이 그 아이를 꾸짖으시자 그 아이한테서 귀신이 나왔다. 그 아이가 바로 그 시각부터 멀쩡해졌다.	And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19	그때에 제자들이 예수님께 가까이 와서 따로 여쭈었다. “저희는요, 저희는 무엇 때문에 귀신을 쫓아낼 수 없었습니까?”	Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20	예수님이 대답하신다. “그대들의 믿음이 작아서입니다. 아멘 그대들에게 말합니다. 그대들에게 겨자씨 한 알만 한 믿음이라도 있다면, 그대들은 이 산더러 ‘여기서 저기로 옮겨 가라!’ 하고 말할 것입니다. 그러면 그것이 옮겨 갈 것입니다. 그대들이 할 수 없는 일은 하나도 없을 것입니다.”	And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21	(없음) (; )	Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
22	고난, 죽음, 부활을 두 번째로 미리 알려 주시다 제자들이 갈릴래아에 같이 모여 있었다. 그때 예수님이 말씀하셨다. “머지않아 인자가 사람들의 손에 넘겨질 것입니다.	And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
23	사람들은 그를 죽일 것입니다. 그러나 3일째 날에는 일으킴받아 살아날 것입니다.” 그러자 그들은 몹시 괴로워했다.	And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
24	성전세에 대하여 예수님 일행이 가버나움으로 갔다. 그때 성전세 2드라크마를 걷는 사람들이 베드로에게 다가와서 말했다. “당신네 선생님은 성전세를 제대로 안 내시나요?”	And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?
25	베드로가 말한다. “내십니다.” 그러고는 집으로 들어갔다. 그때 예수님이 베드로보다 앞질러 말씀하셨다. “그대는 어떻게 생각하나요, 시몬? 세상의 임금들이 관세나 주민세를 받는 것은 누구한테서인가요? 자기 아들딸들한테서인가요, 다른 사람들한테서인가요?”	He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26	베드로가 “다른 사람들한테서입니다.” 하고 대답했다. 그러자 예수님이 말씀하셨다. “그렇다면 아들딸들은 자유롭습니다.	Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27	그러나 그들이 걸려 넘어지게 하지는 맙시다. 바다로 가서 낚시를 던지세요. 그리고 가장 먼저 걸리는 물고기를 잡아 올리세요. 그 입을 열어 보면 은돈이 있을 겁니다. 그걸 가져다가 나와 그대를 위해서 그들에게 바치세요.”	Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
