(2024)King James Version
1
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 마찬가지로 연세 드신 여자들은 처신이 성도답고, 남을 헐뜯지 않고, 많은 포도주의 노예가 되지 않고, 좋은 것을 가르치게 하시게. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
9 종들은 모든 일에서 자신의 주인들 아래에 있으며, 주인 마음에 들며, 말대꾸를 하지 않도록 하시게. Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 그 은혜가 우리를 교육하여, 우리가 불경건한 일과 세상에 속한 욕망을 내려놓고, 지금 세대에서 신중하고 의로우며 경건하게 살아가도록 하지. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 그리고 복된 희망, 곧 크신 하나님이신 우리의 구원자 예수 그리스도의 영광스러운 나타나심을 간절히 기다리며 살아가도록 하지. Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
