| 2 | Κύριε, εισάκουσον της φωνής μου· ας ήναι τα ώτα σου προσεκτικά εις την φωνήν των δεήσεών μου. | Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| 3 | Εάν, Κύριε, παρατηρήσης ανομίας, Κύριε, τις θέλει δυνηθή να σταθή; | If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? |
| 4 | Παρά σοι όμως είναι συγχώρησις, διά να σε φοβώνται. | But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. |
| 5 | Προσέμεινα τον Κύριον, προσέμεινεν η ψυχή μου, και ήλπισα επί τον λόγον αυτού. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| 6 | Η ψυχή μου προσμένει τον Κύριον, μάλλον παρά τους προσμένοντας την αυγήν, ναι, τους προσμένοντας την αυγήν. | My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. |
| 7 | Ας ελπίζη ο Ισραήλ επί τον Κύριον· διότι παρά τω Κυρίω είναι έλεος, και λύτρωσις πολλή παρ' αυτώ· | Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. |
| 8 | και αυτός θέλει λυτρώσει τον Ισραήλ από πασών των ανομιών αυτού. | And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. |
