| 2 | Dia ilay nianiana tamin’ i Jehovah Sy nivoady tamin’ ny Maherin’ i Jakoba hoe: | How he sware unto the Lord, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; |
| 3 | Tsy mba hiditra ao an-daiko aho, Na hiakatra amin’ ny farafara fandriako, | Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; |
| 4 | Tsy mba havelako hatory ny masoko, Na ho rendrehana ny hodimasoko, | I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, |
| 5 | Mandra-pahitako fitoerana ho an’ i Jehovah. Dia fonenana ho an’ ny Maherin’ i Jakoba. | Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob. |

| 16 | Ny mpisorona ao dia hampitafiko famonjena; Ary hihoby tokoa ny olo-masìna ao. | I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. |
| 17 | Ao no hampitsimohako tandroka ho an’ i Davida Sy hanamboarako jiro ho an’ ny voahosotro. | There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed. |
| 18 | Ny fahavalony hampitafiko henatra; Fa eo aminy kosa no hamirapiratra ny satro-boninahiny. | His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish. |
