| 3 | Ils nous eussent dès lors engloutis tout vifs ; pendant que leur colère était enflammée contre nous. | Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: |
| 4 | Dès-lors les eaux se fussent débordées sur nous, un torrent eût passé sur notre âme. | Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: |
