| 1 | ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ ശരണമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പക്ഷികളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പൎവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു പറന്നുപോകുവിൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? | In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? |
| 2 | ഇതാ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഹൃദയപരമാൎത്ഥികളെ ഇരുട്ടത്തു എയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു അസ്ത്രം ഞാണിന്മേൽ തൊടുക്കുന്നു. | For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. |
| 3 | അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ മറിഞ്ഞുപോയാൽ നീതിമാൻ എന്തുചെയ്യും? | If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? |
| 4 | യഹോവ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയുടെ സിംഹാസനം സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ ദൎശിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൺപോളകൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു. | The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. |
| 5 | യഹോവ നീതിമാനെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടനെയും സാഹസപ്രിയനെയും അവന്റെ ഉള്ളം വെറുക്കുന്നു. | The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. |
| 6 | ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെമേൽ അവൻ കണികളെ വൎഷിപ്പിക്കും; തീയും ഗന്ധകവും ഉഷ്ണക്കാറ്റും അവരുടെ പാനപാത്രത്തിലെ ഓഹരിയായിരിക്കും. | Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. |
| 7 | യഹോവ നീതിമാൻ; അവൻ നീതിയെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവർ അവന്റെ മുഖം കാണും. | For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. |
