| 2 | κύριε εἰσάκουσον τῆς φωνῆς μου γενηθήτω τὰ ὦτά σου προσέχοντα εἰς τὴν φωνὴν τῆς δεήσεώς μου | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | ἐὰν ἀνομίας παρατηρήσῃ κύριε κύριε τίς ὑποστήσεται | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | ὅτι παρὰ σοὶ ὁ ἱλασμός ἐστιν | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | ἕνεκεν τοῦ νόμου σου ὑπέμεινά σε κύριε ὑπέμεινεν ἡ ψυχή μου εἰς τὸν λόγον σου | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
| 6 | ἤλπισεν ἡ ψυχή μου ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ φυλακῆς πρωίας μέχρι νυκτός ἀπὸ φυλακῆς πρωίας ἐλπισάτω Ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: |
| 7 | ὅτι παρὰ τῷ κυρίῳ τὸ ἔλεος καὶ πολλὴ παρ’ αὐτῷ λύτρωσις | Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. |
| 8 | καὶ αὐτὸς λυτρώσεται τὸν Ισραηλ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν αὐτοῦ | Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord. |
