αλληλουια ἐξομολογεῖσθε τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι χρηστός ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ | O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
τίς λαλήσει τὰς δυναστείας τοῦ κυρίου ἀκουστὰς ποιήσει πάσας τὰς αἰνέσεις αὐτοῦ | Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
μακάριοι οἱ φυλάσσοντες κρίσιν καὶ ποιοῦντες δικαιοσύνην ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ | Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
μνήσθητι ἡμῶν κύριε ἐν τῇ εὐδοκίᾳ τοῦ λαοῦ σου ἐπίσκεψαι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῷ σωτηρίῳ σου | Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
τοῦ ἰδεῖν ἐν τῇ χρηστότητι τῶν ἐκλεκτῶν σου τοῦ εὐφρανθῆναι ἐν τῇ εὐφροσύνῃ τοῦ ἔθνους σου τοῦ ἐπαινεῖσθαι μετὰ τῆς κληρονομίας σου | Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
ἡμάρτομεν μετὰ τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ἠνομήσαμεν ἠδικήσαμεν | O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ οὐ συνῆκαν τὰ θαυμάσιά σου οὐκ ἐμνήσθησαν τοῦ πλήθους τοῦ ἐλέους σου καὶ παρεπίκραναν ἀναβαίνοντες ἐν τῇ ἐρυθρᾷ θαλάσσῃ | He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς ἕνεκεν τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ τοῦ γνωρίσαι τὴν δυναστείαν αὐτοῦ | He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
καὶ ἐπετίμησεν τῇ ἐρυθρᾷ θαλάσσῃ καὶ ἐξηράνθη καὶ ὡδήγησεν αὐτοὺς ἐν ἀβύσσῳ ὡς ἐν ἐρήμῳ | Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
καὶ ἔσωσεν αὐτοὺς ἐκ χειρὸς μισούντων καὶ ἐλυτρώσατο αὐτοὺς ἐκ χειρὸς ἐχθροῦ | And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
καὶ ἐκάλυψεν ὕδωρ τοὺς θλίβοντας αὐτούς εἷς ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐχ ὑπελείφθη | Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
καὶ ἐπίστευσαν ἐν τοῖς λόγοις αὐτοῦ καὶ ᾖσαν τὴν αἴνεσιν αὐτοῦ | When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
ἐτάχυναν ἐπελάθοντο τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ οὐχ ὑπέμειναν τὴν βουλὴν αὐτοῦ | When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
καὶ ἐπεθύμησαν ἐπιθυμίαν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ ἐπείρασαν τὸν θεὸν ἐν ἀνύδρῳ | He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς τὸ αἴτημα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν πλησμονὴν εἰς τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτῶν | Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
καὶ παρώργισαν Μωυσῆν ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ Ααρων τὸν ἅγιον κυρίου | Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
ἠνοίχθη ἡ γῆ καὶ κατέπιεν Δαθαν καὶ ἐκάλυψεν ἐπὶ τὴν συναγωγὴν Αβιρων | He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
καὶ ἐξεκαύθη πῦρ ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ αὐτῶν φλὸξ κατέφλεξεν ἁμαρτωλούς | Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
καὶ ἐποίησαν μόσχον ἐν Χωρηβ καὶ προσεκύνησαν τῷ γλυπτῷ | Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
καὶ ἠλλάξαντο τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν ἐν ὁμοιώματι μόσχου ἔσθοντος χόρτον | The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
ἐπελάθοντο τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ σῴζοντος αὐτούς τοῦ ποιήσαντος μεγάλα ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ | He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
θαυμαστὰ ἐν γῇ Χαμ φοβερὰ ἐπὶ θαλάσσης ἐρυθρᾶς | To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
καὶ εἶπεν τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτούς εἰ μὴ Μωυσῆς ὁ ἐκλεκτὸς αὐτοῦ ἔστη ἐν τῇ θραύσει ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἀποστρέψαι τὴν ὀργὴν αὐτοῦ τοῦ μὴ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι | Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
καὶ ἐξουδένωσαν γῆν ἐπιθυμητήν οὐκ ἐπίστευσαν τῷ λόγῳ αὐτοῦ | And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
καὶ ἐγόγγυσαν ἐν τοῖς σκηνώμασιν αὐτῶν οὐκ εἰσήκουσαν τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου | He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ αὐτοῖς τοῦ καταβαλεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ | He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
καὶ τοῦ καταβαλεῖν τὸ σπέρμα αὐτῶν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ διασκορπίσαι αὐτοὺς ἐν ταῖς χώραις | They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
καὶ ἐτελέσθησαν τῷ Βεελφεγωρ καὶ ἔφαγον θυσίας νεκρῶν | He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
καὶ παρώξυναν αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπληθύνθη ἐν αὐτοῖς ἡ πτῶσις | He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
καὶ ἔστη Φινεες καὶ ἐξιλάσατο καὶ ἐκόπασεν ἡ θραῦσις | Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεὰν ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος | He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
καὶ παρώργισαν αὐτὸν ἐφ’ ὕδατος ἀντιλογίας καὶ ἐκακώθη Μωυσῆς δῑ αὐτούς | He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
ὅτι παρεπίκραναν τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ καὶ διέστειλεν ἐν τοῖς χείλεσιν αὐτοῦ | He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
οὐκ ἐξωλέθρευσαν τὰ ἔθνη ἃ εἶπεν κύριος αὐτοῖς | He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
καὶ ἐμίγησαν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἔμαθον τὰ ἔργα αὐτῶν | And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
καὶ ἐδούλευσαν τοῖς γλυπτοῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτοῖς εἰς σκάνδαλον | He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
καὶ ἔθυσαν τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν τοῖς δαιμονίοις | He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
καὶ ἐξέχεαν αἷμα ἀθῷον αἷμα υἱῶν αὐτῶν καὶ θυγατέρων ὧν ἔθυσαν τοῖς γλυπτοῖς Χανααν καὶ ἐφονοκτονήθη ἡ γῆ ἐν τοῖς αἵμασιν | Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
καὶ ἐμιάνθη ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπόρνευσαν ἐν τοῖς ἐπιτηδεύμασιν αὐτῶν | He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
καὶ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ κύριος ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐβδελύξατο τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ | The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας ἐθνῶν καὶ ἐκυρίευσαν αὐτῶν οἱ μισοῦντες αὐτούς | He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
καὶ ἔθλιψαν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐταπεινώθησαν ὑπὸ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν | For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
πλεονάκις ἐρρύσατο αὐτούς αὐτοὶ δὲ παρεπίκραναν αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ βουλῇ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐταπεινώθησαν ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις αὐτῶν | And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
καὶ εἶδεν ἐν τῷ θλίβεσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ αὐτὸν εἰσακοῦσαι τῆς δεήσεως αὐτῶν | And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
καὶ ἐμνήσθη τῆς διαθήκης αὐτοῦ καὶ μετεμελήθη κατὰ τὸ πλῆθος τοῦ ἐλέους αὐτοῦ | That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.
