| 1 | Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen auf Saitenspielen. | Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. |
| 2 | Erhöre mich, wenn ich rufe, GOtt meiner Gerechtigkeit, der du mich tröstest in Angst; sei mir gnädig und erhöre mein Gebet! | O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. |
| 3 | Liebe Herren, wie lange soll meine Ehre geschändet werden? Wie habt ihr das Eitle so lieb und die Lügen so gerne! Sela. | But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him. |
| 4 | Erkennet doch daß der HErr seine Heiligen wunderlich führet! Der HErr höret, wenn ich ihn anrufe. | Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. |

| 7 | Viele sagen: Wie sollt uns dieser weisen, was gut ist? Aber, HErr, erhebe über uns das Licht deines Antlitzes! | Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. |
| 8 | Ich liege und schlafe ganz mit Frieden; denn allein du, HErr, hilfst mir, daß ich sicher wohne. | I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. |
