| 1 | Davids. Ich danke dir von ganzem Herzen; vor den Göttern will ich dir lobsingen. | I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. |
| 2 | Ich will anbeten zu deinem heiligen Tempel und deinem Namen danken um deine Güte und Treue; denn du hast deinen Namen über alles herrlich gemacht durch dein Wort. | I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. |
| 3 | Wenn ich dich anrufe, so erhöre mich und gib meiner Seele große Kraft. | In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. |
| 4 | Es danken dir, HErr, alle Könige auf Erden, daß sie hören das Wort deines Mundes, | All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth. |
| 5 | und singen auf den Wegen des HErrn, daß die Ehre des HErrn groß sei. | Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord. |
| 6 | Denn der HErr ist hoch und siehet auf das Niedrige und kennet den Stolzen von ferne. | Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. |
| 7 | Wenn ich mitten in der Angst wandle, so erquickest du mich und streckest deine Hand über den Zorn meiner Feinde und hilfst mir mit deiner Rechten. | Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. |
| 8 | Der HErr wird's ein Ende machen um meinetwillen. HErr, deine Güte ist ewig. Das Werk deiner Hände wollest du nicht lassen! | The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. |
