| 1 | Por que as nações se rebelam, e os povos planejam em vão? | Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? |
| 2 | Os reis da terra se levantam, e os governantes tomam conselhos reunidos contra o SENHOR, e contra seu Ungido, dizendo : | The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, |
| 3 | Rompamos as correntes deles, e lancemos fora de nós as cordas deles. | Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. |
| 4 | Aquele que está sentado nos céus rirá; o Senhor zombará deles. | He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. |
| 5 | Então ele lhes falará em sua ira; em seu furor ele os assombrará, dizendo : | Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. |
| 6 | E eu ungi a meu Rei sobre Sião, o monte de minha santidade. | Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. |
| 7 | E eu declararei o decreto do SENHOR: Ele me disse: Tu és meu Filho; eu hoje te gerei. | I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. |
| 8 | Pede-me, e eu te darei as nações por herança, e por tua propriedade os confins da terra. | Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. |
| 9 | Com cetro de ferro tu as quebrarás; como vaso de oleiro tu as despedaçarás; | Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. |
| 10 | Portanto agora, reis, sede prudentes; vós, juízes da terra, deixai serdes instruídos. | Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. |
| 11 | Servi ao SENHOR com temor; e alegrai-vos com tremor. | Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. |
| 12 | Beijai ao Filho, para que ele não se ire, e pereçais no caminho; porque em breve a ira dele se acenderá. Bem-aventurados são todos os que nele confiam. | Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. |
